Hey everyone!!
Well I’ve wanted to post this for a while and see if any of you could give me any suggestions on this matter…
I’ve got for the past 6 months the idea of getting a tattoo U2 related or Irish related…. As some of you know, my family comes from Ireland, and I really love Celtic tribal tattoos, etc… I’ve grown quite a fun for them….
So I was wandering if any of you had a U2 related tattoo and if you could share a pic or describe it for us…
My first idea was to get just U2 somewhere, maybe on the back of my shoulder, and then I thought it was too obvious and was not that sure about it… I don’t want a portrait of any of the members, thought of getting a little pic of the Fly or Macphisto (but I think that’s kind of gayish and I’m quite a strait guy)
Then I thought that a Joshua tree would look awesome, but still I’m not very convinced about the idea, since it represents U2 but a specific era….
What I want is something that represents U2 as a whole, a symbol, object, etc… and I have failed so far to find one that really convinces me….
So please, feel free to post pics of U2 related stuff that could look good like a tattoo…
My idea is first to have it painted on my back and see for a few days how does it feel…
Well mates, any ideas??

Hey,how are you?I m Mark, from Holland. For your tattoo;how about a phrase from a song,or a few lines from a song?Think about it.As a fan, there must be several that you might consider having tattooed on your body,i think.Let me know what you think about this advise.Or,if not for a tattoo, let me know what U2 lyrics you really like!Thnx!!

Hey Mark!!
thanks for your answer!! I'm doing pretty good, thanks!! how about you??
I have considered lyrics before, but the thing with tattoos and letters, is that normally they should have a rather big size to last and avoid getting blurry... that's what I've been told....
also, I really love all the songs, and my favorites keep changing through out time, so I think it's better to have a more general or wide concept tattooed, rather than a very strict meaning...
and Mark, please feel free to introduce yourself HERE so that we can all greet you!!
Cheers from Argentina!!

Hello Walkon,
great idea!! but I don't feel that comfortable having religious symbols tattooed, they're Holy for each of the Faiths they stand for, and maybe someone could feel offended... At least I think so....
but it's a great idea though..
thanks for you contribution! -
