1. I was having a study-break, when I came across this article. I thought it was quite funny, not saying it’s true, but interesting (hope this hasn't been posted before).

    from @U2

    U2 fans are smart

I know, stating the obvious. We picked the right band. But we’re also like … brainy-smart. So says a CalTech grad student named Virgil Griffith, who put together this very unscientific chart showing the relationship between SAT scores and music preferences. As you can see below, U2 fans are among the brightest folk out there.

But seriously … Sufjan Stevens? Guster? I kinda like Counting Crows, so no biggie there to me. Chart is below, and there’s already an enormous discussion on BeatCrave.

The X axis refers to the grade of “smartness” (the more to the right, the smarter). The size of the bubble refers to the number of tested persons.

I know some U2 fans who are dumb as bread, though
  4. So without them we would be above Beethoven ?
  5. hey, why are you taking that personally, its a statement. a cross section of any group has more and less intelligent people. i didn't see a name mentioned???
  6. Theres me thinking Jazz fans were intelligent, i guess this student doesn't think so
