1. If I'm having one day in Dublin, what would you recommend that I do/see?
  2. Guiness store house is a good day out also a walk along the boardwalk, tour of trinity college or a tour of kilmainham jail, the National history museum these are all good things to do in Dublin!
  3. Take a stroll across Ha'penny Bridge in Temple Bar District & if you have time, stop into either the Ha'Penny Bridge Inn or Temple Bar itself for a pint, then you can travel by foot down to Dublin Castle and on to St. Stephens Green and end up at Trinity College. About 25 minutes start to finish with no stops, of course...
  4. Kilmainham Jail is a great stop, too, depending on how much time you have...

If you go that direction, do the Guinness tour and stop in at the Brazen Head...

I'm jealous... It's been too long since I've visited...

  7. We'll go to Dublin again in October as a present to ourselves for our 20th anniversary. Last summer we made a trip around Ireland and only had 2 days in Dublin. So this is what I have on my list for this time (perhaps you'll find something for yourself there):

    - 10 Cedarwood Road
    - Windmill Lane Studios
    - Hanover Quay Studios
    - Irish Rock 'n' Roll Museum
    - Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship & Famine Museum
    - Trinity College (Book of Kells)
    - Kilmainham Gaol
    - National Wax Museum
    - The Church
    - The Liberties
    - Number Twenty Nine
    - Dublinia
    - Garden of Remembrance
    - Glasnevin Cemetery (Museum, O’Connell Tower)
    - Guinness Storehouse

And we want to make a night tour with the sightseeing bus (with live music) and will spend the other nights at a pub.
  8. Oops, double post
  9. At least that's what I saw on the screen a minute ago.

Put Dublinia at bottom of list. It was ok, but there's plenty of better things to see...
  11. General tourist stuff (much is U2 related too)
    Kilmainham Gaol
    Both Cathedrals (specially Christ Church)
    Guinness Storehouse
    Trinity College
Walk around Temple Bar having a pint on each pub you see. I dare you.
    Croke Park
    Phoenix Park
Stroll down the Liffey, from the docks to the west (until Ha'penny bridge at least)

To the south: Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Killiney (not proper Dublin but you can't miss them)
To the north: Howth, Malahide (same as above)

    Purely U2 fan stuff
    HQ
    Windmill Lane knocked down
    Point Depot
    East Link Bridge
    Bonavox Store
The Clarence (included on the Temple Bar drinking challenge)
Little Museum Of Dublin (not worth seeing other than for its U2 memorabilia)
    Fitzwilliam Square (The Sweetest Thing)
    Dandelion Market

I'm probably missing something essential but that should get you sorted for a while
  12. Bonavox store is gone or moved from origional area
