Back in the US. 8th show in 15 days. After the civility and intamacy of the Royal Albert Hall I tackle a U2 stadium show trying
to reprise my success of 1987 and 1992. I recorded this with EasyEd who ran his source to my left. We arrived at 4:30 and I got on
line. Glad I had a ride so I didn'y have to pay $40 to park. $40 to park wtf is that all about? I had my gear hidden and had some
food with me. They took my food and drinks so they could rip me off inside. I truly hate Oakland venues, no wonder the A's, Raiders
and Warriors struggle, the venues are not fan friendly. I was in early enough to get in the inner circle but too crowded so I went
for a good spot in the regular GA area. Put down a blanket and asked someone to watch it while I went to out to put on the gear. Turns
out he was a retired taper. EasyEd joined me and we recorded the first band. Wasn't too crowded, yet. Sound was horrible although
listening to recordings they are pretty good. For Lenny Kravitz it got much more crowded but still tolerable. Surrounded by mostly
good people but some right in front were not. Finally for U2 it got very crowded. Sound was still not right but I can't control that.
I recorded U2 at the same venue twice in 1987 and once in 1992 and the sound was much much better. Obviously those recordings were
superior. I wish U2 would spend more on sound and less on stage architecture. I think Glastonberry will be best show on tour for that
reason. The Claw stays on tour and they fly with instruments to UK. Only glitches on recording are one slight bump from a person taking
pics to my left and one in Sunday Bloody Sunday when EasyEd hit my mics taking pictures. Not a perfect recording and one that probably
is not too friendly to cheap steros or Ipods due to heavy low end.

Comments: Bono tells the crowd that U2 hung out with Green Day and Metallica a night earlier and talked about creating a new music festival. Lou Reed is at the show, prompting Larry to sing a bit of Perfect Day before Bono leads the crowd in singing Happy Birthday for a friend named John. He dedicates Pride to the Shriver family. After 'Streets', Bono brings a fan from Poland on stage - a guy who flew 20 hours to be at this show.

  2. Holy shitballs! One of the best sounding boots since Europe last year. Crisp guitar, crisp drums, super clear bass.... you can really hear his actual playing and the bass' tones, and a clear, though a little distant/down in the mix sounding Bono. Terry comes through pretty clear as well.

do you just happen to say "holy shitballs" or are you quoting Ace Ventura?

Not too sure what to do with the file though....its not ina aformat i recognise. Can someone please help or post another link to .raror .zip files.

  5. You are a star....thank you.

  6. Thank you Very Much!!
  7. This recording is awesome! The band are performing so good these days, Stay is pure magic.

  8. Paradojic. Stay is (sadly) performed by just Edge and Bono...

  9. Haha, the band perform pretty well on some other songs. For example, Pride from Oakland was excellent even though I'm a wee bit tired of that song.

I wrote [./picky] after my post but it didn't show up, sorry. I was just being picky and funny at you, nothing big

All your reviews are pretty positive, hmmm... I will have to download this boot then, I haven't downloaded a single full boot since... Mexico
