1. No, not the city in Florida, I'm talking about the song, haha. I have grabbed some shows from the Popmart Tour (you guys are awesome for gathering these, SERIOUSLY), and I'm just wondering...what kind of noise is Bono making at the middle of 'Miami'? Is it a cat or dog or something? I know, odd question, but I couldn't really tell what it is, so if you guys can help me out with that, it would be awesome. Likely, it'll be a bunch of guesses, but it's better than no answer at all.
  2. during most live performances of Miami during the Popmart tour, Bono pulled a girl from the audience to flirt/dance with.

my guess is that the high squeaky 'noises' you're referring to is just Bono playing around with the girl.
  3. Just a high pitched purr whilst flirting with some girl he gets out of the audience before he lights a big Cuban. Don't dig the Tempe gig much where it sounds like he has turned a bit evil during this bit, hope it's not directed to the girl!
  4. Flirting, got it. Just for answering my odd question, I feel like I can ask you guys just about anything, thanks!
  5. Miami could have been a seriously cool song if not for those awful lyrics. Watching a PopMart show on YouTube from Edmonton. That guitar part in the chorus is awesome. Very big. The song as a whole remains terrible.
  6. I don't get all the hate, I like it. Shall I consider it a guilty pleasure?
  7. I definitely don't hate it! There is a place for Miami for me..not the "Man I wanna hear something really U2 right now..." but when it comes on I do enjoy it.
  8. Don't love it, don't hate it... sometimes I'm in the mood for that.
  9. But definitely better than majority of HTDAAB
  10. Like Boots : great riff, ruined by lyrics and arrangements.
  11. Best joke for 2015 confirmed.

But in all honesty, Miami is the embodiment of my opinions of Pop as an album. It has a lot of potential, but it just felt rushed and ended up being incomplete.
  12. If one of the biggest and most influential poets of XX century enjoys reading its lyrics out loud this much, it can't be that bad y'know
