1. Hmmmmm...and you thought it would be? I like some of the songs better but not all of them.

The Joshua Tree and Zooropa are better albums overall.

  2. I think that hardly anyone got a new AB... but many got one of teh greatest, if not the greatest since

When did I say I was expecting it to be another AB?, others were and all the hype by the band/producers fueled their expectations.

I think many people are reasonably happy with their efforts this year. Ok so it may not have been everyone's favourite flavour but no one can deny that it was DIFFERENT.

And we get a taste of something else this year if we're good!

Going by the quality of some of the recent album rejects that have surfaced of the past 10 years ie Mercy, Winter I believe U2 are in fine form and will gather together a fine follow-up but I'm forever optimistic!

Yes but the point wasn't whether people were reasonably happy, the point was that it wasn't the next AB.

I like the album, it's better than their last two.

Some of the recent album rejects have been excellent, Winter and especially Disappearing Act are brilliant tracks.

I definitely agree - Winter is excellent, and so is Disappearing Act.

Btw, does anyone know where are U2 now? Are they working? And, if yes, where are they working? Or is it like for the rehearsals for the tour - location unknown?
  7. it's time for some real news.....

  8. The Golden Globes are tomorrow - hopefully at least one or all of them will be there for Winter, and give some hints in interviews.

  9. Anyone heard if they gonna attend at all?
Altough I dont think they win, not even Maguire in his category

  10. i hope maguire gets it. peter parker. doubt brothers get anything thou
  11. Edge was there i think, and they didnt win

Who seriously thinks NLOTH is as good as AB? Not many....

What you said in that second quote. Seriously thinking NLOTH is as good as Achtung Baby? That's a crime against humanity. You do not, under any circumstances, diss out the brilliance that is Achtung Baby - otherwise you're clearly devoid of any musical knowledge.

Not everyone thought Achtung was their shining moment and the best album ever made. Me for one. Zooropa is a much better album overall.
