1. Thanks John! Nice stuff. U2start will do a tweet about this later.
  2. With distinct shows of “iNNOCENCE” on the one hand and shows of “eXPERIENCE” on the other, the first may include those truly innocent songs such as 11 O'Clock, Out Of Control or A Day Without Me, while the latter might bring us songs like Acrobat, When I Look At The World, or something humorous like Holy Joe...

Such a scenario will obviously changes the odds of songs that are typically "innocent" and those that could savely be qualified as "experience."

It only made one appearance on ZOOTV. The Elevation Tour and on the 360 Tour. U2 might visit Spain in this tour so who's to say Spanish Eyes could be in this set, maybe a stripped-down acoustic version of this song.

Yeah, they might just visit us... If we're lucky...

  4. Passengers: No Miss Sarajevo this time around (changes of being played: nihil) - element of surprise: none! (Which means that I predict that nothing from the Passengers album will actually be performed = 0.5% change).

Pop: Last Night On Earth, Staring At The Sun, Please and Wake Up Dead are songs that could actually make it to a setlist of the i&e tour occasionally. For any other "Pop" song I don't see any significant changes...

Element of surprise: Holy Joe or If You Wear That Velvet Dress...

Concluding: the change that at least one of the Pop songs will be played this tour is, I think, about 50% ...seriously!

Another favorite off of Rattle and Hum has to be Heartland although it's been never done in a tour, but it was snippeted on the Lovetown Tour to the intro to Where The Streets Have No Name, but that was it. And I think it's possible that Heartland could be in the set as an acoustic version. But it's looking unlikely, looks like Heartland might wait for it's turn on the next tour soon.

  7. Passengers and Pop

I realized I had some work left to do in this, so I'm going to come back on this

Miss Sarajevo - 75%. In 1995. Bono and The Edge performed with Pavarotti on a beautiful version of Miss Sarajevo cause of the troubles back in Sarajevo throughout 1993. This Song definitely had potential to be on the next tour, but it never arrived until U2 arrived in Sarajevo on the Popmart Tour to play this song in the encore after With or Without You. Sadly, it was it's only performance in this tour, but 8 years later, it made a resurrection replacing Running To Stand Still on the Vertigo Tour, Bullet and Sarajevo made a good pair on this tour I would say but Miss Sarajevo definitely was on the 360 Tour, it never arrived on the first and the second leg, it made it's return to the third leg however and stayed throughout the end of the tour, it was done in orchestra form similar to 1995 at The Hollywood Bowl with Bono and Edge playing it acoustic. Can Miss Sarajevo make it to the tour again, it's possible. I would love to see it happen and with an orchestra to aid them on this tour, I say yes. Sarajevo returns to the set, but we are days out for the U2 Concert, we're going to have to wait to see if it makes the first leg of the tour in Vancovuer

Your Blue Room - 50%. Another Song that was never thought to be played in the 360 tour was Your Blue Room. But on the second leg of the tour, it made it's Live Debut for the first time in 14 years, But it couldn't find a place to stick in the set, it was sequed into Unknown Caller, but that was it. Your Blue Room could have a chance to return, but I'm giving this a 50%.

Discotheque - 75%. Many thought the song Discotheque would be very special and amazing on the Popmart Tour and it was, All 4 of them appearing in the lemon at the start of the encore and beginning with Discotheque, it was a wonderful start to the encore. And that was Discotheque, it played throughout the entire Popmart Tour, then made some appearances on the Elevation Tour until it's final appearance on August 2001. The Song made some 2 appearances on the Vertigo Tour in the encore, but that was it for Discotheque until it was snippeted in I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight on the 360 tour followed by Please. Could we see Discotheque return in the setlist, it's possible, we could see Volcano and Discotheque sequed into one another, or Discotheque could be sequed into The Crystal Ballroom, it's possible that Discotheque can come back however, the devil's in the details.

Do You Feel Loved - 40%. Truthfully I don't think this will be in the show, because Do You Feel Loved has been on a single tour and never had it's day in the sun on the tour, It didn't appear on the Elevation, Vertigo or the 360 tour. I give this a 40% that it will be on the show, but I doubt it will not be in the show.

Mofo - 55%. Mofo was pretty much a good opener on the Popmart Tour, As a matter of fact it held the distinction of being the opener throughout the entire Popmart Tour similar to Zoo Station on the ZOOTV Tour. Mofo didn't appear in the Elevation Tour and didn't even appear on the Vertigo Tour until it was soundchecked in Atlanta on that tour, but it never appeared too. Until it was snippeted in City of Blinding Lights on the 360 Tour. But Mofo is likely to make a return to the set, cause Bono will be singing about his mother cause of Iris (Hold Me Close) and I Will Follow. I Say Mofo plays after Iris (Hold Me Close) in the middle of the set, I think we could see that happen but who knows.

If God Will Send His Angels - 35%
. This Song never had the full potential in the Popmart Tour, it was played Full Band, but it was stripped down acoustically by Bono and Edge, then it disappeared. It never made an appearance on the Elevation or the Vertigo Tour, but it was snippeted in Beautiful Day on the Vertigo Tour. And it was soundchecked full band on the 360 tour. But that didn't appear on the set as well. And The Chances of having If God Will Send His Angels in the set is a 35%, it's likely doubtful that it will not return to the set unless the band play it in acoustic or electric form.

Staring At The Sun - 70%. In 2011, many people never thought that Staring At The Sun would be played at a U2 Concert again, but in October of 2011. Bono and Edge resurrected the song in the usual acoustic form like Popmart and Elevation, but this time it was a string section that followed the band. Staring At The Sun played electric and full band on the first leg of the Popmart Tour until it was stripped down acoustic. It made some appearances in the Elevation Tour, used as a snippet in Discotheque and played acoustic the next night, if you watched that Slane DVD Show, it was an awesome performance of Staring at The Sun or if you saw that acoustic show Bono and The Edge played at Bill Clinton's ceremony in the Hollywood Bowl, it was amazing. And I think Staring at The Sun could return once again, one night electric and the other night acoustic.

Last Night on Earth - 30%. To be honest this song was pretty good to be on the Popmart Tour tour, not okay but enjoyable to be on the Popmart Tour. It stayed throughout the entire tour sequed into Until The End of The World, perfect seque right there. But unlike POP, It didn't make the Elevation, Vertigo and 360 tour. And I don't think it won't be on this tour either.

Gone - 55%. Gone was probably the best song to ever hit the Popmart Tour, it stayed throughout the entire leg and in the set on The Popmart Tour, it also became a regular on the Elevation Tour as well sequed into Kite until it's final performance in August of 2001 with Bono dedicating this song to not only his friend Michael Hutchence, but his father Bob Hewson. And it never returned to Vertigo and the 360 tour as well. But will Gone make a return to the set, it's a 55% possibility,

If You Wear That Velvet Dress - 30%. Another Song played in the Popmart Tour, If You Wear That Velvet Dress medleyed into With or Without You. It was a rare ingredient to see both these songs medleyed until it's last performance in the Final Popmart Tour as well and it never appeared in the Elevation and Vertigo Tour until it was used as a snippet on the Vertigo Tour in All I Want Is You. But I don't think it's a 30% that it will make it to the setlist, it didn't show in the 360 tour and I don't see it happening either in this tour unless an acoustic version of this song is possible on this tour.

    Please - 55%
. Please also stayed throughout the entire Popmart Tour in the sets and legs, Both Please and Streets were an awesome seque in the entire Popmart Tour as well and used for the only time in the Elevation Tour until it was stripped down in acoustic-form for this tour, Please didn't make it in the Vertigo Tour but it was snippeted in I'll Go Crazy in the 360 tour, sometimes I would wonder if Please and City of Bilnding Lights could match as a seque, it is possible in this next tour, but I don't see it happening.

Wake Up Deadman - 40%. Wake Up Deadman never appeared in the first leg of the Popmart Tour until it appeared briefly in the tour as well and became a closer at the end of One. And it made a somewhat appearance in the Elevation Tour, stayed a closer at the end of One or snippeted and migrated in the early set at the end of Sunday Bloody Sunday and was played before Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of. Wake Up Deadman didn't appear on the Vertigo or the 360 tour, but this is a 40% of it returning,

That's all for my Passengers and Pop Picks
  8. I think it was very confusing when you say things like "I'm giving it 45% because it's highly unlikely"... When I think about "highly unlikely" I'll give it 10% or less.

    But when I read this:

Originally posted by johnthedude:8. Elvis Presley and America - 45%. Perhaps one of my favorites on The Unforgettable Fire CD with "Promenade, Bad and UF as 3 of my favorites on this CD as well." I would've thought It had good potential to be played on some sort of tour, but maybe this could happen on this tour, perhaps we could see an acoustic version of this song. But I gave this a 45% cause it's highly unlikely. But Elvis Presley and America is still my favorite song on The Unforgettable Fire CD bar none.

(I still like Bad more, but EPAA is in my top 5 of all time).
  9. EPAA is among my favorites too, but 45% is too optimistic. I give you 1% and I'm still loosing.
  10. Oh absolutely.
That's why I started saying that it's weird when he says "very unlikely, so 45%"... my comment was more like a "ok, that doesn't make sense but you get a free pass because you love EPAA"

It's never been played live, and considering the origin of it (just a slowed down version of ASOH), I doubt that they even played it in the studio ever, so yeah, I don't expect them to even consider it.
  11. Predicting a 45% for Elvis Presley And America is a 45% over the top.
  12. EPAA is like Sex Panther: 60% of the time it works every time
