1. You can always change your vote Pato. This is more for future reference to anyone that starts his/her journey into U2 bootlegs.
  2. 100% unbiased here... for example: at 360 I was at São Paulo 2011-04-13, amazing and special experience, even good sound on bootleg, BUT...2011-04-10 the performance, the setlist (first Out of Control and first Zooropa on tour) and even the snippets are just outstanding
  3. I'll start figuring my picks out soon... but this is going to be really difficult for a lot of them, especially picking the runner-ups!
  4. Question: Promo tour dates are being counted as 'various dates,' but what about the War Pre-Tour, since it was basically a promo tour for War? Do its shows count as part of the War Tour?
  5. Yes, to me, Pre-War counts for War tour. Lots of good shows there.

I totally believe you're unbiased Gustavo, and I agree with you about Sao Paulo 1. One of my favorite 360 shows too.
It was just a general guideline.
  7. Already posted my choices in the other thread:

Let's update this as of July 1st 2015. Many of these boots remain as my favourites from their tours

Note: "Best" bootleg, as in "best MIX of band performance, bootleg sound, audience participation AND personal attachement to the show".

Best Early Days / Boy bootleg: 1981-02-12 The Hague
Best October bootleg: 1982-02-11 New Orleans
    Best War bootleg: 1982-12-06 London
Best Unforgettable Fire bootleg: 1985-02-05 Bologna
Best Joshua Tree bootleg: 1987-07-08 Brussels
    Best Lovetown bootleg: 1989-12-30 Dublin
Best Zoo TV bootleg: 1993-08-28 Dublin
    Best Popmart bootleg: 1997-11-14 Miami
    Best Elevation bootleg: 2001-09-01 Slane
    Best Vertigo bootleg: 2006-12-09 Honolulu
Best 360 bootleg: 2010-09-26 San Sebastián
    Best I+E bootleg: 2015-06-29 Chicago
Best Various Dates bootleg: 1987-11-11 San Francisco

Some might change (360 is a close tie between San Sebastián and Zurich, Lovetown a tie between Dublin3 and Rotterdam4 for example) but these are unvariably some of the best -if not THE best- bootlegs for me.

I have an edited broadcast of Slane (it's missing a few songs, lasts for 65 minutes or so) that was aired on a Spanish TV channel many years ago so I consider it a valid bootleg.
  8. I don't like the sound of 1997-11-14 Miami and the fact that the audience is muted makes things worse.
  9. Almost impossible, but here is my list based on my recent listening to boots the past 1/2 year. (Elevation, Vertigo, Love Town, Joshua Tree, TUF, WAR, October, I+E, the rest I have to relistening again)

I love this whole thread and I know how hard it is. Wonderful to see some different choices and some recurring...
PS: I'm still working on my list...

Best Vertigo bootleg: [...] Runner up:
    Boston, Fleet Center, 05-12-2005
I was at this show (December 5th) and it was probably the best U2 show I ever saw - and, believe it or not, while it had an extraordinary setlist and a phenomenal version of Crumbs, it was Pride + Streets that impressed me most...
