  1. So the general idea is:
    1. Create at top 10, 20, 25, 50, or 100 favourite song list.
    Point scoring:
    If you do a top 10: 100 points for first; 90 points for second; 80 points for third;...
    If you do a top 20: 100 points for first; 95 points for second; 90 points for third;...
    If you do a top 25: 100 points for first; 96 points for second; 92 points for third;...
    If you do a top 50: 100 points for first; 98 points for second; 96 points for third;...
    If you do a top 100: 100 points for first; 99 points for second; 98 points for third;...

    2. Ten percent rule: No single band can occupy more than 10% of your list. For example, if I do a top 20, I can include no more than two U2 songs (or two Oasis songs, or two Pearl Jam songs, etc). If I do a top 50, I can include no more than five U2 songs, etc.
    For the record, I still say Passengers is U2.

    ...uh, wait a sec. Who's going to tabulate the votes?

    Is it from current year or overal?
  3. Overal, when I started it the idea even was to not include songs from that year.

    I thought about bringing it back this year, but I'm really short on time because of school, for which I have vacation next two weeks but I got exams coming up right after those weeks and papers to finish, and because of Christmas .
    But if anyone is going to count the songs, I can help with it and will ofcourse make a list

    By the way, if we're gonna do it, I think the end of the year (which was the plan the last two times) is a bit too short for people to make a list.
  4. We can let it spill into 2016, I suppose. Make it part of a Super Bowl party (for those of you that care about American Football, that is.)

  5. I'd be screwed if the songs were only from the current year. Due to having young kids, I get slammed with the likes of Taylor Swift and One Direction.

  9. It's brutal... I've just made a list of 300 songs... still not including U2, James or Pink Floyd... I want all of them to fit in the top 100...

    It's hard cutting out songs like "Even Better Than The Real Thing" or "I Will Follow," isn't it!
