1. Reading the Boy setlist was cool. The first three songs were The Ocean, I Will Follow and 11 o Clock Tick Tock. The encore was the same 3 songs. For half a second I thought we were going to hear something rare from that setlist, but they went into I Still Havent Found.

The promoter of that Boy show was all over the news before the concert. He had the orginal signed contract. The band made $750 for that show. I heard Sunday night grossed $5 million.

    The orginal show in question.

Sadly they didn't. The overwhelming negative ot the show Sunday was the crowd. In their defense it was crazy hot and humid, but still. My entire section sat unless they played a biggie. When that song ended, everyone sat again. I'm not even sure Zooropa generated applause.
When I saw the band in St. Louis on the Vertigo Tour, the crowd went nuts. Adam interacted with the fans in a way I have never seen. Bono took out his earpiece more than once to soak in the noise.
I loved the show and went bananas from Space Oddity through Moment of Surrender. For a minute I thought I may be the only person left in the stadium to hear the last verse. Too bad.

I couldn't disagree more. I was inner circle center stage and no one sat still a single minute. Another friend was on the floor in the back and said the crowd near him was the same.

As for the person with the "suck it" remark...the usual class from Chicago.
  3. Great introduction to I Still Haven't Found... Reading tat setlist was SO cool, although they could ahve played one of those longly-forgotten rarities instead

GA looked into it. I was in the seats, and the mood was much more laid back.

Just hearing A Day Without Me, 11 O Clock Tick Tock and Stories for Boys mentioned at a 360 show was a thrill.

  6. Yep, the simple mention is something remarkable
  7. I really should listen to a Boy-era show. Wasn't there a somewhat-official Boston show from that era of was that one to promote October? I know they were still young but I rather hear most of Boy as opposed to some of it and a lot of October.

Yes. And an excellent show it is: 1981-03-06 - Boston. Unfortunately, we can't offer a download link for it since it was officially released... PM me if you wish... And this is not an offer of any kind!

If you want some other Boy gems check out 1981-05-15 - San Francisco, 1981-05-11 - Denver or 1981-02-12 - The Hague
  9. Thanks for the offer. I mean non-offer. However, I'm sure I can find it somewhere. I may even have it on my computer somewhere.

Also, some of those other shows you directed me to look better - larger setlist, anyway.

  10. Shot 6 years ago, released today. Full show in amazing quality
