  1. That was a great gig. Was it the 23rd July '89? If so i was there. SawThe Silencers again a fortnight later in Cardiff Arms Park. This band and The Alarm were prolific at the end of the 80s. Great that i saw them play together along with U2 in '87 at the Arms Park. Hope people here give The Silencers album a listen.

    Yup Roundhay on 23rd July - my first proper gig iirc. What a great day it was, perfect weather, just brilliant, lost the swag I'd bought (programme/t-shirt) in a massive crush up front during 'Wall Of Love' - it was crazy stuff and I was a wet behind the ears 17 year old at the time, but you live and learn!

    Got a nice bootleg of that in the archives, though just SM - looking at your shelves in the collectibles thread - I reckon you would probably have it too - but if you need a copy just let me know and I'll up it somewhere for you no probs.
