  2. I have listened to this song for many days and nights since I last saw my only best girlfriend which was in January 2006. The song has taken on more of a meaning for me and my relationship to her cause even though I haven't seen her the song gives me hope that my love for her will last and we'll see each other more in the future. I love her so much and this song also makes me think everything will be all right. It's amazing what U2's music is capable of.

    There seems to be a lot of love for this gig (I assume you mean night 3?) - Drew's mentioned it as his best boot ever. I was at the 4th night the night after which was pretty tense too. Bono looked wrecked but they were on fire. The boot here isn't best quality unfortunately.

    I agree with Sergio - don't stop playing it otherwise you'll always associate it with this break-up (sucks BTW ) and the song has hope in it too. Try the Boxing Day Point Depot show for that.

    I also agree with Gerard - stick some upbeat stuff on too. COBL or Streets, Vertigo, that sort of thing.

    It's is love song, but not for happy couples, but for couples and people who are going trough hard times, unfortunately.

    It is "I CAN'T" that means "I need to be sure of your presence", "I need to know if you're in or if you're out and I do prefer IN".

    I'm in love too and before the happy time I'm living now I had to pass through a time of uncertainty. She wanted to love me but there still were a few things that prevented her of giving me all her love. So I found out that this wonderful song was perfect "...I wait for you... ...on a bed of nails she makes me wait... and I wait... without you... ...I can't live with or without you!"
