1. Started reading The Hound of the Baskerville by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle yesterday. It's maybe the 5th time I read it now. Love it
  2. Thank you Mr. McDuck (Juraj) for opening this topic for me

I just recently finished "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom. I'm currently reading "Tuesdays With Morrie" by the same author. God, that man can write a book. (Yes, I did cry at the end of the last book, and I'm anticipating a few tears by the end of "Tuesdays".)

C' mon guys, keep this topic alive. Yay Nerds (I'm in the orchestra, therefore being a dork)
  3. Nothing wrong with being a nerd. 'Of Mice and Men' is quite a good read.

Are you really in the orchestra?

  4. I'll check that one out

Yes, lol. I'm in the Durfee Strings, Viola, 2nd Stand. Our first competition is in April, in Washington DC
  5. Originally posted by digitize:I just finished Fahrenheit 451, and I'm reading Brave New World Now. My favorite book is probably 1984.

Does that say something about me?

At least I can now spell Fahrenheit!

I'm gonna take a leap and guess you've also read Slaughterhouse Five? if you have, if you haven't.

Strangely enough, I was reading On the Road today and got to the line "burn, burn, burn like roman candles" and I almost started singing Promenade.

Nice! The book is quite good with a great theme of friendship.

  7. All of Mitch's books have a message of "Don't waste your life". I'll look up the book that you mentioned tomorrow (I'll need a new book soon lol)
  8. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is a favorite of mine! Hilarious and amazing
I am America (And So Can You!) Stephen Colbert is a genius lol
Lord of The Rings Trilogy is always good.
The Twilight saga is amaaaaaaazing It's how I got into Muse lol (I'm dead serious!)

Right now I'm reading Catch 22 for English. Awesome book so far

    Great!

Thanks lol. (There is only 4 violas, including me, with 2 per stand lol)
  10. Tuesdays with Morrie...prob one of the best non fiction stories ever
Into the Wild - I should be reading it like I said I did.
The Street Lawyer - reading this now, really nice book
U2 by U2 - reading this now, sorta
The Anatomy of Revolution - boring at the start, but you need an open mind about what you're reading. Yeah might like it a little bit too.
The Da Vinci Code - I saw the movie after and was disapponted big time
The Last Temptation of Christ - A book I'm willing to read. It's banned by the catholic church (as were the ideas of Galileo until 1992), and that it shows Jesus as human. Also a movie which I want to see after watching the movie.

More on the way...I hear I have to read Animal Farm soon.
  11. I'm gearing up to read "The Road." Has anyone here read it yet? I want read it before the movie comes out. I hate having my imagination stolen.
