Dont mean to be an old fuddy duddy, but her being jailed is worth a longer speech......fairly significant event in history....

  3. and watch as Bono yoddles about it and politicians talk about how unjust it is and watch further as she is left to her sentence.

    Sad world

  4. Of course it's a significant event in history, and it's a good thing he tries to activate us to support her. I'm just a little tired of all those speeches about politics etc. As Gerard already says, Bono's words won't release her from jail sadly enough.

Very true. You never know it might just fire up Bono a bit more and make him deliver an even better performance!!!

  6. When that happens I take my words back.
  7. Hello people,

I am attending my first U2 gig on Saturday 15th August. I have waited 11 years for this and I am so excited! It's going to take just over 2 hours by train to get to Wembley and I have a fear of trains so this will be an emotional day for me lol. Going to be worth it! Is this anyone elses first time aswell?

for me it is. but i'm going friday.
  9. The only problem is, whenever Bono gets political over here in the UK, U2 always get a lot of negative press. This is one of the reasons why I hate the UK media, and how they often brand Bono a hypocrite. And...because a lot of people aren't very clued up on what U2 really stand for, they just end up hating them. I speak from experience from all the flak I hear day in and day out about U2 from where I live unfortunately.
  10. I got an email from Ticketmaster today telling me the times of the two Wembley shows. For those who don't know...
