1. and where is the link? on show pages is just sample...
  2. ...yes, I noticed that too! The recoding was "approved" but the moderator must have forgotten to submit the download link...

I trust it will be corrected shortly (it's out of my hands...)

But I promise it will be worth the wait. I don't meddle with rating stars, but because of the minimal crowd "interference" (i.e., talkers, clappers, whistlers, or even recorder-kickers...) and the clarity of sound, I can really recommend this
  3. I know... the sample sounds amazing, so can't wait to hear it!
  4. Link added now.
  5. Thank you very much!
  6. Wow, thanks again! Love your work

TAPER'S WISHES: DO NOT SHARE LOSSLESS !!!

    BIGGIRL NOTES:
One8ung kindly offered his recording of Amsterdam
for a "remaster for iPOD," possibly patched with the
anonymous "hockey puck" recording for the issues
    mentioned above.
The One8ung recording is at least far more clear and
consistent than the "hockey puck" but does suffer a
little from the unfavourable recording position with
regard to the place of the speakers. It's also a bit
"clappy" but not really annoying in my opinion; in fact
I kinda like the more lively 'ambiance' that one8ung's
    recording brings.

The patch with anonymous' recording starts with a
full fade between Elevation and Volcano - this, btw,
also allows for cd burning if one wishes to that.
The patch ends with a so-called splice (no fades)
between October and BTBS, such that it is also possible
to play the (omitted) One8ung tracks seamlessly
(or, in other words, to skip the patch altogether if
One8ung decides to lift the embargo on the lossless
recording) - to be sure, I write these things down
so I can read back what I did must I visit this file
after so many years (hence it's called "BG notes!)

Anyway, Overall I think this "share" is a substantial
upgrade, especially if you don't mind its mp3 nature
(which btw , according to scientists, is more environment
friendly than lossless when the downloading of the files
is concerned – this has to do with the energy + water
consumption of the various datacenters: the larger the file,
the higher the energy + water consumption of the datacenter* ).

    *see Sustainability 2015, 7(8), 11260-11284.

    - ALL tracks run seamlessly, except when fades are used.
    - the volume of the CAR-BOMB explosion at the end of SBS
is LOWERED to protect your ears (and gears!) - as in ALL
    BIGGIRL's #remasters4ipod

BIG thanks to ONE8UNG for allowing me to use his recording!
and SPECIAL THANKS to u2start & the anonymous recorder!

+++SHARED in MP3 - don't trade this off as lossless, for it is NOT!
LOSSLESS files could be made availlable with tapers permission +++
    Download here (from u2start)
Can we have it in lossless?
  9. I take this as a compliment, but I only want to do this with taper's permission.

The thing is that I think the files - either lossy or lossless - are just means to an end; that is, enjoying the live music of U2. And in this case I don't think the lossless files add much to the listning experience (that old debat again!), well, at least not that much as to make a substantial - or rather, structural - difference.

Anyway, the other thing is that I strongly believe that the source material should be preserved as lossless, while remasters are better kept lossy as to distinguish them from the original (source) recordings. A program like TLH (Traders Little Helper) will easily recognise the mp3 sourced remaster. When (my) remasters are also shared lossless it becomes harder to distinguish one from the other.

So, I am a bit reluctant at this point to ask the taper for permission but perhaps other opinions could win me over to ask Andy87 if he is OK with it.
