  6. It is one hell of a snippet in that Kansas City performance.

  7. If they played an almost full version of Peace On Earth, can't see why they didn't play this gem in that tour. It's a shame because I seriously doubt we will hear anything from this again.

Listened all the way through ATYCLB recently again on a long drive, and this song definitely stood out to me. I still can't quite decide if this song - or Peace On Earth, for that matter - is a true "gem" or not, as it seems to walk a fine line between true beauty and sentimentality...

That said, the ending verse really is moving - I get goosebumps during "I think of you and your holy book while the rest of us choke" and "tell me, tell me, what's wrong with me?"

Musically, I also do like Larry's drum part and Edge's simple piano line and guitar effects.

The guitar, drums, and bass were recorded during a short time span during the sessions for All That You Can't Leave Behind, and by the time the recording of the album was finished The Edge realized that the song had been recorded so quickly he couldn't remember how to play it.

  10. IIRC, Edge said the same about Ultraviolet...

It would fit on the next leg maybe, with everything that has been happening lately...

    It's too late now.
Some of the excuses they argue for not varying the setlist just baffle me: no Drowning Man because "they couldn't find a place in the setlist"?
