Crazy, unfounded accusations only because they dared to obtain international recognition.

I'm not so sure about. Shite Irish acts like Boyzone and Westlife have managed to have a lot of success without ever having been compared to U2. I'm afraid it's the tax thing and the fact that many people just don't like Bono. I don't ever read the comments on any Bono related social media items anymore as the hate and ignorance just gets on my nerves.

The fact that all of the members of U2 still have their main residences in Ireland, cars in Ireland, eat & drink in Ireland, employ a lot of people in Ireland means that they still pay a Hell of a lot more tax in Ireland than any of the begrudgers.

The fact that Bono's harping on and on has helped to save thousands of lives seems to be beyond the comprehension of the begrudgers.

To quote Bono: "Fuck the begrudgers" !!
  6. well spotted! glad its somewhat recognisable. I was in a rush and put my explorer / johua tree mashup stencil the other way around. Which is pretty hillarious.

I need to learn my stencilling better. But its the first time I was doing this.
  7. It looks very good

When I visited and talked to U2 haters in pubs (well before the whole tax issue) none of them could give me a reason for the hatred. I would have even accepted a "I just dont like their music" but I didnt even get that from them. It reminds of Neil McCormick's "killing bono", but they werent joking.
  9. All the Irish hated Bono from way before the whole tax shenanigans. Bono dislike isn't based on anything more than hating his sunglasses and a dislike of being preached to. Bono is am Irish man that purposely outs himself out there at every opportunity and that puts a lot of people off him.

Actually question their dislike of Bono and the band and hit them with a few counters and their arguments soon fall apart.
