1. I think Discotheque Ultraviolet and Please and A Sort Of Homecoming are underrated.
  2. hell, Mercy has to be their most underrated.

it's amazing and yet didn't even make it as an album track, or b-side for that matter.

    agreeeed
  4. Indian Summer Sky

  5. I went through a phase of loving this song, as well as Wire. Haven't really visited The Unforgettable Fire for a while though.

I actually don´t listen to the UF much either. Did it a couple of days ago, and I hit me that it´s just an amazing album..
I mean, apart from Bad, Pride and the Uf, there´s songs like Wire, A Sort of Homecoming, Indian Summer Sky. I woulnd´t say it´s their best, but it´s probably among my top 5!
  7. Really, I think pretty much any songs that weren't singles or on The Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby are underrated, at least amongst the general public -- and even then, a few songs are a little overrated from those records (not to knock them - just, there are other great songs too).

Among U2 fans? Well, since I'm pretty new to this site, I don't know for sure, because I'm the only diehard U2 fan I know personally... Here's what I think:

Boy: 'Another Time, Another Place', 'The Ocean'
October: 'Rejoice', 'Fire', 'I Fall Down'
War: 'Two Hearts Beat as One', 'Like a Song...', 'Drowning Man'
The Unforgettable Fire: 'Indian Summer Sky', 'Promenade'
The Joshua Tree: 'Exit', 'Trip Through Your Wires'
Rattle and Hum: 'Heartland', 'Silver and Gold'
Achtung Baby: 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses', 'The Fly' (among general public anyway, I know it's a fan favourite -- I can't believe it's still not one of their biggest hits ever), 'Love is Blindness', 'Acrobat'
Zooropa: 'The Wanderer', 'Lemon', 'Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car'
Original Soundtracks 1: 'Elvis Ate America'
Pop: The whole record, but especially 'Wake Up Dead Man', The Playboy Mansion', 'Miami', and 'Do You Feel Loved'
All That You Can't Leave Behind: 'Wild Honey' (heinously underrated), 'Kite', 'When I Look at the World'
How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb: The whole record, it's probably their strongest since Achtung Baby, in particular -- 'A Man and a Woman' (fantastic, fantastic song, I will never not love it to death), 'Yahweh', 'Crumbs from Your Table', 'Miracle Drug'
No Line On the Horizon: also an underrated record, but these songs deserve more love -- 'Get On Your Boots', 'I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight', 'White as Snow', 'Cedars of Lebanon', 'No Line on the Horizon'
  8. Another thread I've only just found I'm going to sort of copy above and pick out most underrated track per album

Boy - An Cat Dubh/ Into the heart ( two different songs but they do go hand in hand)

    October - With A Shout

    War - Drowning Man

    The Unforgettable Fire - Promenade

The Joshua Tree- Red Hill Mining Town

    Rattle and Hum- Heartland

    Achtung Baby - Acrobat

    Zooropa - Lemon

    Pop - Gone

All That You Can't Leave Behind - New York

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - Yahweh

No Line On the Horizon- Moment Of Surrender

    Songs Of Innocence - California

I know some of these songs are very well thought of amongst us but I'm not sure about some of the more casual fans. The more I look at it the more I'd like to see them all in the same setlist not that it will ever happen.
  9. Very underrated among U2 fans:
Elvis Presley and America, Wild Honey, A Man and a Woman, White as Snow.
Hey, I'd love to have those in an EP.
  10. Boomerang II, With A Shout, Theme For Let's Go Native, Some Days Are Better Than Others... Actually, I think that the 60% of U2's repertoire is quite underrated.
