You do raise some pretty valid points there. I also agree that he can still bring it live ( I think the 2/7/15 show from Chicago is a great example from this and I still listen to that show a bit, I think its one of his best vocals in recent years) this why I was a bit perplexed by some (not all) parts of this new version of RHMT. I do like warm tone in his voice, thats one thing about the ATYCLB/ Elevation tour period that I like - I would take that over the thinner style he has been going with recently, because his lower warmer register is still pretty good imo and he should use it more.

Agree with you on the Chicago show! We'll have to see what the tour brings. I hope this new version grows on you a bit in the meanwhile. I'll be intrigued to hear the new mix of One Tree Hill... I'd love to hear Edge's guitar solo on the outro bought out more - something that really adds to the climax of the song in the live versions that I've always felt wasn't done justice on the studio cut.
