Hope to match your total by the end of July - unless you secretly planning Tampa, of course
About time is right! No Tampa. Since I have depleted my funds travelling to Miami, I'm sure the Rock Gods will now announce an Atlanta date, so if that happens, I'm sure to go. I may have to go for the way up top cheap seats, but I'll be in the building!
  2. OMG.....it was the HOTTEST concert I have ever attended. We were on the floor in the crowd and soaking wet with sweat. The sound was really horrible too and everyone who says the spoken words were garbled were correct. This was my least favorite U2 show ever.....We saw someone passing out due to the heat. It was probably 90 degrees with 80% humidity and no breeze even as the night wore on. I don't love U2 any less but HOT HOT HOT................

Not the hottest by FAR. Tampa 2009 it was 96 at the start, and 90 after Moment of Surrender ended. And this was October 2009 not June. I will admit it was hot and humid in Miami, and my two mile walk to avoid the ridiculous $40 parking made me a bit overwhelmed, but it was worth it. I am in horrible shape, and did not pass out. Of course, a lot drink alcohol, and depending on age, can't handle it. I have never drank at a concert, so no clue about that experience. I am actually pretty upset that nearly every single Florida stadium show for any artist absolutely has to take place from June to August, when it is crazy hot. Could they google "climate in Florida in the summer?" Anyways, I have to agree with you, it was my worst U2 show ever, but age, and other factors came to play. Still, the show clocking in under two hours for the price of tickets is a nice thorn to pick...will write my review of the show later. Pretty much wish it was Tampa December 1987 when my first U2 show was outside and with reasonable weather. Looking forward to Tampa 2017!!
  4. I saw them in Lisbon in August in 97 on the Pop tour . It was 42c during the day and didn't drop below 30c that night. Hottest show ever

Have no fear of the cheap seats!
We were directly opposite stage very close to top of stadium in Pittsburgh and it was a great show!
(The huge screen helps a wee bit. )

Sound was good, too? Thanks for the info. And you did the $35 seaters, right?
  7. Sound was fantastic.
(I was pleasantly surprised. Had some trepidation about the sound, but it was all good.)
And yes, $35 seats. (Less than that actually on StubHub.)
  8. Just published my biggest ever photoset of a single show. Took quite some hours to process all these photos but it's damn worth it. Some truly incredible pics in there, I'll leave you all to find them! 81 photos of U2 in Miami:

Next and last photo stop in the US for me will be Tampa! Will be shooting from the b-stage.

My friend took some great Adam shots, I'll be sharing soon.

But seriously... As much as we all loved it, are we really going to call 3 words from Miami a snippet?
