BTW, there he is signing a Gretsch Irish Falcon to a Spanish fan (Miguel Alvarez) that's been trying to get it signed for 15 years (literally). This is quite an achievement, specially since Edge and Bono have been refusing to sign guitars for a long long time, and only sign them for charity and similar stuff.

I saw Edge signing a Explorer in 2015 in Amsterdam for a boy.

When I told him I went to see it 5 times....his eyebrows raised and he chuckled and said 'that's funny' and he gave me 'a look'. There are some really good songs Bono and Edge wrote and as far as I'm concerned that play got slammed with unfair bad reviews. It was really wonderful !
He didn't thank you? Since you were probably 20% of the total visitors of that musical

    Cool story!
  3. Yes , he signed it without question and without the sceptic " I hope it won't end up on sale" remark. :O I never knew they where so apprehensive about it in some parts of the world. But I must say the US has more of those people who make selling shit on Ebay their dayjob. (LAX airport, New York etc.. are flooded with them) You don't have that too much over here.

I'm glad for the fan who got his Gretsch signed. . Cool that he never gave up.
  4. I was there and saw the guitar get signed....I did not know this fan but after his guitar was signed he was so amazingly happy, emotional and tearful that his dream finally came true!!!! He said he was trying for 15 years and has spent lots of time waiting for the band to come out before the shows. This was NOT a case of someone doing this to sell it. He literally was a very loyal fan who got to meet his hero's just like I did that day. I cried a few tears of joy too. There is nothing like speaking to someone I have loved and admired for 35 years (Bono). and Edge.Amazing.

What a cool storie, and there's nothing better that getting your ticket signed, or giving a letter, or whatever.

That's why I always ask an artist to personalize an item to me. I know it takes them more time, and they may decline, but at least it gives them the sense that it truly is for me...

  9. Awesome good times in Tampa
  10. yea, great Tampa experience...so much better than Miami. Miami's heat that night was beyond brutal. And Remy, your photos of this show are AMAZING.
  11. Remy I was hoping to meet. Great pictures there
