Tour: Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Songs played: 23
Audio recordings: 2
  1. Weird, at the Toronto show the audience stood through the entire show, and got amped up about songs like In God's Country, Exit, even Mothers. Yeah there was the usual crowd who goes to get beer around the time Red Hill Mining Town started, but they're always there.

People who bought tickets to this show and then got bored with the second half of the album because they don't know it got what they deserve. You should know what you're getting into with this type of tour. A lot of people (including the person I was with) tend to say JT is super stacked in the first half and then it tapers off. Singles-wise, yeah. But the second half was almost more exciting to hear for me, and I'm sure many others. In God's Country and Exit blew the roof off the place in Toronto.

Maybe the audience was the problem in Boston
  2. Personally I thought this Boston show sounded the best so far! I guess the stream was not able to translate the performance properly??
  3. The Joshua Tree is massively front-loaded.
  4. There isn't much element of surprise here. "The Joshua Tree performed in full" Do you need more a disclaimer than that?
  5. Nope. Thanks anyway though.
  6. Probably because Steve Lillywhite's wife sequenced it from her favourite to least favourite (minus Streets being first and Mothers at the end).
  7. Hahaha, we already discussed this... Sorry to contradict you again, but no she didn't. It wasn't from most to least favorite, but instead of how she thought the album flew better.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I remember we talked about this before...I couldn't remember if it was debunked or not! How did you confirm it again?
  9. Either way, she made a hash of it.
  10. I never checked my copy of U2 By U2 to see what it says! But yeah, according to the wikipedia entry (so credible) it was "by preference" - I likely just misinterpreted it.

I don't mind The Joshua Tree as it is to be honest. How would you guys sequence it differently? I think it has a great flow as is.
