Remember our project that never got of the ground, Sergio?

Never forget the opening into "Bullet the Blue Sky" with brilliant versions of "Out of Control and "11 O Clock Tik Tok". Back to Galway that night to get ready to record the 31 December show. U2 was amazing back then.

Don't get me started on that! I spoke about it a couple of weeks ago in a Spanish FB group and people told me that we should get the petition running next year for the 30 anniversary of R&H. Now that the U2 corporation is definitely a well-engineered cash-producing factory, it's only natural that they'd want to milk the fans' cow as much as possible - and Lovetown is something they know we fans love!!

I agree the tour is a fan favorite. But the band did not like the tour at all. I do not think they are in a rush to put out Lovetown material unfortunately. If they do an anniversay edition of Rattle and Hum I bet they put a JT show on there if they put a show on it at all. A pro shot of the full last Tempe 87 show would be pretty good IMO and would probably be a better bet than a Lovetown show.
Still we can hope, they have archived shows (IE Sydney) of Lovetown that are suitable for release. But they have that for every single tour. Remember the 2nd Dublin show on Vertigo in 2005? Pro shot done of the whole thing. None of it has seen the light of day, at least pubically anyway.

I have such great memories of the Lovetown Tour, and I still think that the iconography and style of that era was magic. C90 at the ready on New Year's Eve. Recording RTE on the off chance it would be shown on telly. Fingers crossed the footage shows up some day.
