ticket pricing etc the last few tours have been unobtainable for a lot of fans who can no longer afford to see them , I know a lot of people who haven't seen them since the 360 tour as tickets are way too expensive not solely the bands fault but they are big fish within the industry and can negotiate a lower pricing structure , The Cure on their recent US tour took on Ticketmaster over dynamic pricing and handling fees etc something which U2 and other big acts should get behind because if they don't stand up to these corporate monsters they'll just keep increasing the ticket prices.
You said the big ticket price jump happened under Oseary. Yes they've definitely been going up - but what hasn't? Here's the face value pricing since 1997 for the US tours since I had the info at hand...

    McGuinness as manager.....

    PopMart
US Pricing: 37.50 - 52.50 ($52.50 put you in a seat on the floor, no GA)

    Elevation
    US Pricing: 46.50 - 131.50 (General Admission $46.50)

    U2 Vertigo
    US Pricing: 49.00 - 165.00 (General Admission $49.50)

    U2360
    US Pricing: 55.00 - 250.00 (General Admission $55)

    Oseary as manager.....

    Innocence and Experience
    US Pricing: 30.00 - 275.00 (General Admission $68)

    The Joshua Tree Tour 2017
    US Pricing: 35.00 - 280.00 (General Admission $70)

    Experience and Innocence
    US Pricing: 41.00 - 331.00 (General Admission $80)

    Azoff as manager.....

    Sphere
    US Pricing: 140 - 501.35 (General Admission $267.88)
Platinum pricing was also introduced for U2 tickets in the US for the first time for these Sphere shows, so getting a ticket at $140 or even $501 was nearly impossible at face value unless you got a ticket via the fan club pre-sale, which is no longer a 'guarantee' but now more a lotto.

For comparison Phish ranged from $117 - 196 at Sphere, with the GA being $196. Dead and Company ranged from $145 - 395 with GA being $395. Platinum pricing was used for both as well.

I'm jumping off here as it's getting quite off topic...

They release DVDs of tours. 2017 video was planned for a cinema release and hopefully will happen.

Also From the ground up/Edge's picks for 360, Apollo show, AB30 compilation, Innocence/Experience live audio.
