1. So, yep, that's basically what this new thread is going to be about. The idea is that, if you have a dedicated room to enjoy whatever you enjoy the most, then show us!

In my case, I've spent the last 2 years saving, researching and investing quite a lot of money to build my own home theatre. Why? Well...

Because I love cinema, and I can't stand at the theater with people behaving like animals... I'm sorry but I can't
I want to enjoy the experience, I want to forget about the rest of the world for those 2 hours and, as a director/photographer myself, I RESPECT tremendously the effort and work putted into the production of any kind of art.

I hope you like it, it's been quite a long ride but I'm already saving for an upgrade soon, but for the moment I'm pleased as hell, I just moved to my new home with my girlfriend (who I met thanks to a local U2 forum more than 8 years ago) and, well, we are very happy with how everything ended up.

    The entrance:

This is where I have those little specifications. From top to bottom, Bravia Theatre, 3D World Created by Sony, BluRay Disc, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital 5.1...

    Inside:

An overall look of my HT.

    My Sony Bravia:

A 3D Bravia, the Sony KDL-42W805a, last's year top of the line, at least where I live:

    My BluRay movies:

Some of my collection, including (I have new ones, but I didn't take the picture of those yet):
Triple Feature from Stanley Kubrick: 2001 A Space Odyssey - A Clockwork Orange - The Shining, It might get loud, The Cure Trilogy, Gran Torino Steel Edition, I am legend, The Karate Kid, Blade Runner 5 Disc Collector's Edition, Garbage One Mile High Live, Edward Scissorshands, U2 360, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 3D (I still have to buy the first one), The Counselor, Life of Pi 3D, Prometheus 4 Disc Collector's Edition, Twister and Days of Thunder.

    My CDs and some DVDs:

A bit of everything, including the whole U2 collection obviously, some japanese music, jazz, blues, classic rock...

    Special Editions:

Including The 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition from one of my favourite movies from one of my favourite Directors, Ridley Scott: Blade Runner.
The Alien Anthology, The Dirty Harry Collection and the 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of The Joshua Tree - U2.

Remotes, cellphone and one of my headphones:

    3D Glasses:

    Home Theater:

A old but VERY trusty Sony HT STR-KG700.

    A Sony Discman:

A Sony D-EJ360. This was a gift from my dad when I was 12 or something. I still remember THE IMPACT it had on me, the sound quality was BRUTAL.

Beneath the PS3 and the HT:

Some books, a couple of DVDs and 2 PSMove.

    Posters:

I couple of posters I have, but I also have a HUGE Prometheus poster from the cinema. I still need to put them in the walls.

    Alien:

A drawing that my girlfriend did.

    Just two of my toys....:

    Wheel:

    Sony Bravia:

    Regards.
  2. Nice !!
  3. Impressive stuff!

I have a room with U2 memorabilia and my guitars, but it comes nowhere near this awesome room

  4. Let's see it then That's the idea, my case is different because I also love cinema and I've always wanted to have something like in my place so...
I'm planning to get a Sony projector soon, but it's expensive. The quality is outstanding on the other hand...
  5. wow Pablo !! i want a room like that !!!
  6. Great stuff I'll share my room later on.
  7. OK.. So I watch movies and such from the living room, but my own 'man cage' is this small room adjacent to the living room:

Three-screen desktop PC, my main computer basically.
Powered by a great Ikea standing-sitting desk which I can move up and down, usually I stand in front of my PC for about 50% of the time. Note the U2 bible having a spot on my desk for looking up anything setlist- or show related.

Right next to my desk is my cabinet with books and lots of U2 stuff, with a wall of a few of my U2 LPs on top of it.

And left next to my desk is a map of Europe, with pins in all locations where I've been to (ran out of pins so need to buy more ).
  8. Thanks patou2 (I have sent you a big message the other day but I have no record of it now in my PMs, did you receive something?)

Remy, THANK YOU SO MUCH for sending pictures
It's great to see that I'm not the only one who is obsessed with having a place for me

  11. Judging from his Fan of the Month (March 2012) interview, he seems to have... And the bootleg section must be particullarly impressive!

You've reviewed numerous shows, a commendable effort. What motivates you to review this many shows?
I've got all the bootlegs burned on CD, in a shelf that takes up a whole wall at home. I have listened to them all, and I happen to perfectly remember some of them. I once tried to organize a bit my bootleg collection, doing a little description of each show so I could have a quick glimpse of what each show was like. So that's why I do so many reviews here, I have small reviews written in each CD!
