1. Morning All!

With only 19 Days to go to Toronto, I'm facing one of the most difficult decisions any U2 fan can encounter - how early shall I line up for the GA! Likely hoping to get a spot near the main stage, but wouldn't shy away from the 'E' Stage either! Any advice on what I can expect? I remember seeing some posts about wristbands or numbers perhaps, but of course didn't bookmark them! Has there been a time when most people start to show up? I'm hoping to avoid Toronto traffic too, so my current plan is to come in around 10:30am, hoping that would be enough time to stake out a spot. Thanks!
  2. No matter where you position yourself, you'll get to play with them onstage... hahaha

Now seriously, 10AM sounds a very good idea. You avoid the traffic and I doubt there will be more than 30-60 people queuing already. From those, I bet around 30-50% will disperse among the catwalk and E stage, so you'll get first (second at most) row in the main stage.
(all wild guessing of course, maybe Toronto inhabitants go suddenly crazy at once and all of the attendees queue from 6 AM. Don't blame me if it happens!)
  3. I'm not sure how the GA experience in Toronto will be compared to LA, but I think showing up at 10AM is a solid idea. You will be able to avoid traffic (which I think is the biggest issue for most people) and you should be able to get there early enough to secure a spot in line (or a good number, depending on how they do it). Without spoiling too much, I honestly don't think there are any bad spots in the GA floor since the show moves around throughout the night.

GA is a really great experience and you get to meet a lot of awesome people who are just as crazy about U2 as you are. You'll have a blast!
  4. Haha, I bet Matt already knows how funny GA queuing is... He himself is the guy that appears on his avatar playing onstage.

Oh crap. Well that's an experience unique in itself.
  6. but, why the guitar? I thought it was piano both times, isn't it?
  7. Wait this is you?!?!! The Wild Horses guy was you!

    Wow... Just wow.

  8. Sorry sorry sorry.

    Whops

I have mistaken mattfromcanada with michael121405, which is the guy who played twice with the band in 2005 and 2006.They have similar avatars so the mistake is understandable... I feel sorry though

Nnevertheless, mattfromcanada seems to have played with the band too, maybe at one of the Vancouver 2005 shows?
