    It's not a mania.

We have to sing the main songs.

That's the only way to impress you.

    to give a typical example

"Acrobat" <- It's a bit strange to Asian fans who are new to U2.

Asian fans like the song "City Of Blinding Lights" <- U2

    I am a U2 fan of Korea.

I am not good at English. I hope you understand.

In general, Asian and Korean fans generally prefer songs with good melody.

City Of Blinding Lights, Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
    ,Elevation,Beautiful Day,Mysterious Ways,Angel Of Harlem,Sweetest Thing

Most Koreans and Asians love this style of music
    Hi Jon.

You should just hire Richie Sambora again and write "songs with good melody".

    Regards!

Receiving you load and clear! Play the hits! Soul in Soeul!

I think it's brilliant that fans in places that U2 have never played before are getting geared up for this.
  3. If they had balls they would do a couple IE songs, couple EI songs and not play the JT in order. Give us a new setlist. Then its a new tour.

They’ve just done a tour with no Joshua tree songs at all. That shows they do have balls. It’s not a new tour if it’s branded the Joshua tree, so expect a similar set list
  5. I’d say coming out playing no JT, Acrobat and most of the new album shows they still have ‘balls’. I’d expect most of JT and majority of the usual hits as this tour is for regions that haven’t been played before or for a long time not for fans who follow setlists on here every night or went to a few JT or EI shows already.

This tour is for Australia/NZ/Asia who haven't had concerts since 2010!

This tour is not for US/Europe who have had the opportunity to see them 3 times in the last 4 years.

If you are rich enough to travel to these shows, good for you but don't expect dramatically different setlists. You know they don't do things this way. This is a short tour, why shouldn't they take it easy like a paid vacation and just make minimal changes to the JT setlist and maybe change a few songs at the beginning and end?

I'm just saying don't be surprised and don't moan about it when inevitably the setlists are boring to you since you've been listening to so many shows on Mixlr and Periscope all this time and/or attending shows.

I for one and thrilled for the Australian/NZ and Asian fans who get to see our boys again. They deserve it, and any show they get, it's going to be 100% new to THEM!

My only complaint about this tour is that the shows will be super early morning for me, so there's little chance I will be able to listen. I need my sleep. But thankfully we have U2start so I can listen to the shows later.

    Lurker mode back on...

As an Australian who has never seen U2 live before I 100% agree with this post! Most of the will be from Australia meaning that most of them wouldn't have seen U2 live since at least 2010. While I'd love to see them play deep cuts and newer material like the E+I tour, I would love it more if they stick closer to JT30.

The ideal setlist for me is JT30 for the first/second act with a bit of a mixup in the third act/encore to include a couple of songs from SoE and the rest of the third act/encore is just hits from AB/ATYCLB.

If I had seen U2 live on 3 different tours in 4 years I'd be disappointed by such a setlist but since I and most Australians haven't I'm sure we will be perfectly happy with JT + hits.
  7. I think they need to do all of The Joshua Tree (probably in order) if they’re branding this as that tour. As for the rest of the set, I’d like to see them mix it up - the full NYD ought to stay because NYD is an amazing song and getting to hear it in full is brilliant. It’d be good to get some Innocence and Experience songs, and maybe some of the ZooTV rarities - Stay, Wild Horses, Acrobat. On the other hand, will they (and should they?) drop Pride, One, Beautiful Day, Vertigo? Probably not - and that’s what most people will want. Hopefully at least stinkin’ Elevation gets the boot...

Perhaps since it’s a short tour and it’s been such a long time, maybe they’ll play longer - 25-26 songs like on later 360, i+e, and early e+i, instead of 20-22 like TJT.
  8. I'm a "U2" fan of Korea.

    at a concert in Seoul

a dream set list that combines reality and ideals.

    in fact

    It's a little bit more like a dream than a reality... ^^;

But if the performance goes on like this,

It can be a 200-point performance out of 100.

    Many Koreans and Asians

    I think the same way.

Thank god I'm not going to Seoul then

It's not a put down on you, we all have our own individual (& cultural) tastes. I just wouldn't enjoy that run of songs. I'm hoping to go to Japan, so am very interested in what the band decides to play in Asia.

  11. Not sure if the band will play the whole album again, but I hope they make room for SOI & SOE songs along with Stay, Zoo Station, Acrobat, Wild Horses. Then again. the band hasn't played in there for so many years that they might wanna play the popular ones... anyways, I just believe an encore of Zoo Station, Wild horses, Stay, Love is bigger than anything in its way will be awesome.
