1. sadly i’m going through a rough time and i’m now at the end of a relationship, it was difficult and messy and now i can’t help but feel helpless. maybe this topic already exists but u2 always seemed to make the relationship happy with so many love songs, what about breakup songs? songs that can help me get through this.
    thanks
  2. Every Breaking Wave, best of luck BTW
  3. Stay, Kite, or Sometimes
  4. In a little while, ultra violet, walk on, Little things (especially the second part), sycmioyo, ebw and beautiful day.

My advice is though to actually not listen to any of those songs because especially after a break up they're all depressing as shit and that could your situation worse.
  5. One time In my early 20’s a girl broke up with me after 2 years, y’all of marriage, etc. completely blindsided. I got in my car and on the radio, first thing I heard was that Foo Fighters song on the radio, where he’s yelling “DONE! DONE! ONTO THE NEXT ONE!” I took that as a sign, and began my transformation towards a better life. I’d recommend that song!

How old are you? How long were you together?

    Love is Blindness, Drowning Man.
  7. Sorry about your loss.
  8. Listen to Yob (the two last albums)
  9. I would recommend that you clear yourself and listen to "Beautiful day" and "walk on"
  10. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, So Cruel, With Or Without You, An Cat Dubh, Ultraviolet (to a degree IMO). I think most U2 songs are bittersweet love songs that fit these situations perfectly.

Yes you could be right.sometimes it seems that in a sad moment a sad song could finally kill you so that you should play something “good” as a rock song or something very strong
In my case I found out that sad songs can help you to....spit out all the shit that you hold inside.like crying could be a way to let the shit flow out.
Having passed the last few years of my life in the deepest black I tell you that the last album helped me a lot with my “ heavy load”....it helped me?well yes but ....only time heals.and you -only yourself- can get you through
    Stay strong!
