  1. i made a few u2 mp3 ringtones using audacity today. they are all just 15 - 20 seconds clips from u2 songs - can i post these here or would this be considered official material.
  2. i'm sure Remy or Zooropa will reply, but I think "official material" ONLY refers to stuff that has been released for sale.

    It sounds like you designed these ringtones from scratch. Unless you have a contract with Universal Music Group to release these all over the world, I think your ringtones are fair game on these boards.
  3. CORRECTION, if these mp3 ringtones are actually cuts from album tracks (ie not made from scratch), then that might not be kosher.

    On the other hand, if they are mp3 cuts of bootlegs(!) then those are fine.
