1. Do they release anything to celebrate? Next year’s fan club gift, live downloads, something should happen right?
  2. It was the big one after all, put them on the map
  3. 40th anniversary gig at Red Rocks??
  4. Record Store Day 2023
  5. Yes. Was hoping they’d start with the singles (NYD) this past autumn and carry on into 2023 (THBAO…SBS) but didn’t end up rereleasing anything which may have killed that wish.
  6. I mentioned in the u2.com subscription gift thread possibly a live album but it would need to be padded out with a couple of non album tracks since only 7 of the 10 tracks have been played live. I would like that just to get like a song live and would be nice to still get some different live versions of songs, particularly two hearts, Surrender and seconds. Failing that a coloured vinyl on RSD of the album would suffice.
  7. Well. War was reissiued, UABRS on DVD. What else is there ?

    Id rather they honor ZooTV30
  8. I actually kind of hope not. Other than Pop and RH they’ve mostly “anniversaried” enough of their albums already. We are also already likely getting the re-worked versions of 40 songs with the Surrender album. Enough of the past!

Would much rather see the band move on and focus on new music.
  9. Agree I don't think they have much else lying around from that era thay hasn't been released ,also studio time was expensive back then for an up and coming band and they hadn't the luxury of chopping and changing and demoing every idea and soundbite
  10. Put it on the 'to do list', it's getting to the stage now there's more 'undone' releases than there catalogue, pathetic!

War hasn’t been issued on coloured vinyl yet. It’s one of the few that hasn’t. Boy was issued on White vinyl for RSD for the 40th anniversary, and Achtung Baby for the 30th anniversary, so the easy choice would be War on coloured vinyl finally. October had already made it to coloured vinyl so no need to do it when that anniversary came around.

RSD is about a month after Songs of Surrender is coming out. If they are wanting to promote the “new” album with something on RSD they could leave a 40th anniversary pressing to Fall as well…

Other albums without a modern colour pressing? Under A Blood Red Sky, Rattle and Hum and All That You Can’t Leave Behind.
