Episode #27 - Spectacular start in Vegas

The first two shows in the Sphere are behind us and in this episode Remy, Joeri and Joe take you through the show and share our personal experiences. We talk about the venue, the technology, the show, setlist and everything else going down in Vegas such as Zoo Station and merchandising. We also have some tips for those yet to travel to Vegas, such as where to stand or sit in the venue for the best experience.

    How to listen

You can listen to the podcast on our podcast page, but we are also on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Stitcher and TuneIn. Just search for "U2start".
  2. thank you for this podcast! I agree Bono is looking fit and wonderful!!!
  3. I want to comment on your asking why there are no political statements in the U2 show. What I think is, of course U2 is not for authoritarianism or fascism and there is a movement toward this in our country. But most concerning is an orange guy from the Republican Party who is a clear and present danger to the way of life in America and who is under federal investigation for 91 counts of fraud including trying to take over an election January 6. Unfortunately, the owners of the Venitian and Wynn etc who own the Sphere too are BIG DONORs to that party and that candidate in exchange for the gigantic tax breaks that are handed out to the very very rich in America. I would say that the lads can't speak out in this situation. But what they can and should say is for people to VOTE VOTE VOTE.....VOTE BLUE!
  4. Thank you for that podcast, interesting insight from people who were there!

The white jacket, by the way, is a nod to Sid Vicious who did a cover of My Way and a Vegas-style video for the song. The way Bono and Edge do My Way after Elevation it's closer to Sid's version than it is to Sinatra's.
So I think that this is the reason for the ugly white jacket.

Did you guys notice that Bono is speaking German at the end of Zoo Station?
    It's
"Bitte zurückbleiben, nächster Halt Bahnhof Zoo"
    which is
"Please step back, next stop Zoo Station"
    in English I think.
