  1. Does anyone have the new lyrics Bono sings for Streets? It is my favorite song and want to be prepared for our show next week on 15th.

Early on in the residency, Bono sang “Can get through the fire / If I go with you” instead of “And when we go there / We go there with you,” but he went back to original lyrics after the first few shows for that line. Occasionally, he’ll also sing the original “I want to reach out / And touch the flame” line instead of “Show me a place / High on a desert plane,” but this has been pretty infrequent. During the “love” section, he’ll ad-lib and often add in a snippet of “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles or “California” from Songs of Innocence, but for the most part it’s pretty similar to what he’s done for that section in live performances in the last several years. There are a few changes to the melody as well. If you’re able to, listen to the Songs Of Surrender version of the song to hear how he sings “I want to hide” and “Each desert rose” if you want to be prepared. As a side note, everyone in the audience will be singing the original lyrics and melody, so there is nothing to be worried about if you just revert back to that! The show as a whole is absolutely fantastic, you are going to have a great time on Friday!

  5. Whatever he’s currently singing I wish he’d drop it.
    It’s their live pinnacle, a euphoric moment, the one moment everyone comes together…..so sing the words Bono and stop thinking SOS mattered 😂

  8. Thanks for the replies. Yeah. I know, it's my favorite song too and I like how over the years he has made a few changes. Where there's no sorrow or pain for example. Or, see through the eye of the hurricane. Stuff like that. But I saw it's completely different and was a bit disappointed too I must admit. Thanks again!
