I am honestly shocked that E+I Berlin has survived as long as it has and that it even threatens to outlive I+E Paris. I personally consider the Paris show to be one of the greatest U2 shows to be captured on film whereas the Berlin show - great as it is - is clearly a more tired band, Bono is more muted (both in voice and physical form) and the setlist - despite Gloria and Zoo Station and everything else - does not match Paris by a long shot. In my view, Songs of Innocence translated much better live than Songs of Experience did, and whilst I admire that they left Joshua Tree alone after the tour in 2017, when you compare the two shows there is no question (to me anyway) which has the strongest selection of songs… but to each their own I suppose!
Edit: ha, an exact tie! Who would’ve thought…
