  3. Sounds very much like Coldplay. Sounds very much like a pop song and U2 trying to be played on the radio. It is very catchy and it's been in my head all morning. Also sounds like a perfect World Cup song.

  6. It’s just a clip, so not jumping to any firm conclusions, but as an indication of the direction of the single…

    I am not encouraged.

    Seems to lean back into the “hoping we get radio play with a pop song” genre that plagued their single selection for many albums. After the last 2 EPs I hoped they were leaving that behind.

    We will see come June.
  7. Like many of you, not really feeling it just from the clip. Happier maybe when I can hear the whole thing as intended, and not some quickly rehearsed versions on borrowed kit for a video shoot. Enough there that I'm interested in hearing it though, which is a start.

  10. Sorry that you feel that way. I would simply suggest, like Bono, that we don't need less religion, especially when it's built on love, surrender, humility...but we definitely need less politicized fundamentalism. Or, as a Christian, I'd say real Christianity and not Christian nationalism. Bono's comments about The Tears of Things and interview with Richard Rohr in Easter Lily magazine were great in that regard.

    Speaking of writing a prayer...the opening lyrics of Street of Dreams seem inspired by Psalms in the Bible like 55, 61, 102. All of which also refer to God being "enthroned" and yet coming to hear and rescue his people, bringing justice to earth. So for those hoping for Ascension Day vibes after Ash and Lily, there ya go?!
  11. It's hard to give a proper impression of it based on very small snippets but right now, I'm not sure about it - it's catchy but definitely need to hear the full thing. I know it's going to be on the album based on what has been said but from what I've heard of the song, it does really sound like one of these one-off songs.

    The less relgion you have in a country the better outcome for wellbeing.
    Take Usa for an example; the states in Usa that have highest % atheists have less crimes, better education, less divorce, lower rates in abortion....

    Look at the countries Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland...
    The best cointries you can live in but also the lowest % religious people.

    Also the god of the bible, its strange that Bono who have high moral standards praise a god like the one in the bible.
    A god who(according to the bible stories) have killed over 20 milion people(alot of them were innocent children), sanction slavery, genocide, have bad views on woman, homosexuals....
