1. Anyone else caught the trailer for this movie?

I'm not going to pass comment on the political motivation or otherwise, but the use of a certain U2 song during the trailer is pretty cool.

    Check it out:-

  2. Wow, that's pretty cool yeah
Bullet The Blue Sky HAD to be used for an action thing sometime

Well, I think that it doesn't fit to any of the campaigns of Bono / U2 (Africa?? AIDS?? Global warming?? ......).

Althought you probably will remeber that Bullet The Blue Sky was the flag of the Anti-War on the 80's... Nicaragua, El Salvador... The speeches into Bullet were the best ever, even better than Sunday' , Pride or Streets speeches!!
    A fantastic anti-war song!!

I know but with "an action thing" i meant more something about War/Anti-War , so not really about the speaches of Bono for his projects so i think it fit well with this trailer
  6. Movie looks amazing......although I can't see Jeremy Piven playing a serious character after seeing him on Entourage. I thought their use of Bullet in the trailer was pretty good.
  7. It opens this weekend, and the commercials (and BTBS) are all over TV here....excellent choice of music for the trailer/TV spots, although I hear Universal had to pay quite a bit to use it...

Yup. I heard they paid at LEAST $500,000 for the use of that song. Why couldn't I have been a better musician???

Well, that's not an exact figure, but my roommate works in that side of the business and that was his ballpark guess as to how much the licensing fees were for a song by U2.
