1. Hi friends!

I love listening to music while I'm travelling, and I guess a lot of you also like to. In the last months I travelled a lot and, as my love for U2 has grown month by month in the last two years (and it's still growing!), almost all the journeys I did recently were linked with U2 music. So I experienced the effect of a lot of U2 songs while travelling, and now I can say I know which are my favourites:

The bests are Where The Streets Have No Name and Beautiful Day! No other song gave me the same emotions.

Other great ones are Still Haven't Found, With Or Without You, Scarlet (don't kill me! ), City Of Blinding Lights, New York (almost perfect!), Walk On, When I Look At The World, Electrical Storm, 40 (while you're coming back home... ).

I also like (but not always) Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, Ultra Violet, In God's Country, Yahweh, Miracle Drug, Window In The Skies, Mysterious Ways, Kite,...

    What are yours?

  2. I find Kite is the best. Or Walk On.

Like you, Streets from Lovetown is awesome to travel to. Window In The Skies is fantastic for it.
  3. I also like Where the streets, (well the joshua tree album suits perfect for travel), Ultraviolet, Kite, and I also like A sort of Homecoming, it´s great to shout the chorus part, jeje

    You've said it all
  6. Achtung Baby for me - lot sof variation in moods.

Or a mix-tape of live tracks; I'm making up some from the Perfect Setlist thread and they work really well.

  7. depends on what i'm into at the moment and how i'm travelling.

if i'm driving a car, i like achtung baby as well as pop. i just go nuts when i'm driving and singing / moving my head along to Mofo real loud. if you've never done this it's exhilarating. (i mean they're all good! HTDAAB and ATYCLB also work)

if it's late at night or early in the morning, and either people are sleeping or i'm feeling reflective i'll put on zooropa.

if i'm flying i'll usually use Joshua Tree.

*ACTUALLY, i suggest the following: one time i had to fly many connections: 5 legs in a week, so i was able to experiment until i got it right. i would start City of Blinding Lights at the right moment, and then by the time the riff comes on (where the lights go on live) the plane's 2 back wheels leave the ground. when you get it right this is AWESOME!

also, if you ever fly across the western United States, you should really listen to Joshua Tree. it's like a pilgramage, it really is. **listen to In God's Country and One Tree Hill especially, looking down on mountains and rocks (that's all you see) is something you'll remember for a long time. especially b/c you are actually IN the "desert sky"
  8. Heartland is made for a long travel, just stunning!

What about A Sort of Homecoming? Or Out of control? The rest you have already mentioned here!
  9. I usually travel by train when I go to highschool. Kite, When I Look At The World, Are You Gonna Wait Forever, Smile, Summer Rain, Lady With the Spinning Head, Bad, Window in the Skies, Electrical Storm, Vertigo, Until the End of the World and Even Better than the Real Thing are the songs I usually listen to nowadays.

At home, I have a stereoset with a 3 CD station. It now contains a self-made B-side CD with Are You Gonna Wait Forever, Smile, Summer Rain, Electrical Storm (band version), Electrical Storm (instrumental), Stuck In A Moment(instrumental), Mercy, Lady With The Spinning Head(mix and normal one), Zoo Station live from Mexico, Kite live from Sydney, Window in the Skies, The Saints are Coming and Always.

And than there are 2 CD's from the Point Depot, 26-12, Boxing Day show. That's the U2 stuff I'm listening to nowadays, but I can change very rapidly..
