1. Hi friends!

This is the second topic I open today... I just feel a bit inspired...

My favourite U2 album-cover is that of Achtung Baby. Maybe mine is an avarage opinion, but that's just because AB's cover is one of the best of the history!
Look just at its colours: the most visible are red and light-blue. The tipic warm colour... and the tipic cold colour! I think this mixture just represents the union of body and soul, the mixture of passion and rationality that's the characteristic of human kind.
And we know that U2 said a lot about the topic of body+soul, passion+rationality. I think that almost their whole musical production is about this (and that's one of the most important things that make me a U2-lover...). And finally Achtung Baby is just a mixture of energic and introspective/quite-introspective songs, just to represent that mixture.
So AB's cover is a great great great work of art. It should have been released also as an artistic picture, to admire in the greatest museums of the world!

    Now what's your favourite U2 album-cover?

  2. I would say that Joshua tree is my favourite. I love the black and white , and I think that it captures the whole concept of the album in one single shot.. Achtung Baby would be my second choice..
  3. I realy love the rattle and hum cover, with edge in the light. it's great
  4. I think this topic was already opend once
So my answer stays the same : Pop
Why ? just because it's simple and it's modern art => 4 different colors united and together a perfect artwork
  5. War, Joshua tree and Zooropa (in no particular order)
  6. Zooropa for me.

Worst is October (closely followed by HTDAAB)

  7. Joshua Tree vinyl LP is absolutely beautiful!!! where it's mostly black, you have a wide landscape, and the band are off-center to the left.

the CD cover, on the other hand, is . one of my least favorite, actually. i'm sorry i think that it is plain ugly, with the band's faces stretched out like bobble-head dolls.

    1) Rattle And Hum
    2) Joshua Tree Vinyl LP only
    3) War
    4) Under a Blood Red Sky

It's widely accepted as one of the best covers ever, after Sgt Pepper of the Beatles.
In fact, Achtung Baby opened the world of the Cuadriculated covers, which has been used by many other artist after '91.

But my favourite has to be War. Poitics and feelings, mixed together in a photography.

EDIT. PS. Sabd7788, you're on the Sweetest Thing now!!!!!
