  2. Hi!!
Glad to see you're entering into the great world of the early80s...

Well, i highly recommend you the next shows:

1980-02-26 Dublin - Very Good sound, and a special concert because of the fact that U2 signed their 1st concert after it...

1981-01-23 Belfast - Very good sound, and excellent performance.

1981-03-06 Boston - Excellent Sound, excellent performance.

1981-04-09 Minneapolis - Excellent sound and very good performance.

1981-11-14 Boston - Excellent Sound and excellent performance.

1982-03-27 Los Angeles - Very good sound, very good performance.

1982-07-04 Werchter - Very good sound, and good performance.

1982-12-06 London - Excellent sound and great performance. Pre-War show.

8 shows, the perfect number to begin with... If you want more (you'll probably do!) ask it here, it will be a pleasure for me to answer again...
  3. spot on my friend. i just got carried away with all the Joshua Tree and ZooTV that i overlooked all the early shows and also re-reading U2 by U2 hearing the guys talk about the early shows and hearing their personal recollections of certain shows just makes you want to hear and share thos experiences to. Downloaded the pre-war Belfast show because i wanted to hear Bono say that if the crowd didn't approve of Sunday Bloody Sunday then theyd never play it again. and also bcuz im from Belfast. Thanks very much for your views and ill be happy to download them all,

So I just want to add one pearl to your nice list of recommendations:

1981-02-12 - The Hague, Netherlands - Paard Van Troje [FM Rebroadcast]

This is IMO the best sound (+ great performance anyhow!) of those great early days.
