1. U2.com is a great idea that has not realized it's full potential. The exclusives are far and few between. And the stories and news posted there are, at best, merely hours earlier than the U2Log, ATU2, U2Achtung and U2-Atomic's of the world.

Being that our 'membership' fees were to pay for the site and the upkeep of U2.com... it seems that we are not necessarily getting the 'bang for the buck' that we should. YES, the U2.COM holiday CD's are good to have and get... but... they can do MUCH better.

NOTE TO U2 - Have someone new take over the task, be more updated and do a better job with audio, video, pictures and information.

    As for pre-sales for tickets...

Everyone knows that the initial pre-sale was a clusterfuck. In the end I did get some great tickets. But it was a headache and heartache to do so.

THAT SAID - This week, The White Stripes released "Icky Thump". (Great albume, by the way). I was on their site and was lucky enough to do so the day they help their pre-sale. FOR FREE, I merely created a user account and bought tickets. NO MONEY. NO TROUBLE. And I got 5th ROW tickets for the LA Forum.

KEY POINT: Tickets were sold through MusicToday and NOT Ticket-Stealer(master). And also, FanFucker(FIre) was not involved with pre-sale codes.

REM did a great job with their pre-sales during the past few tours also. Again, their pre-sales were NOT through FanFire nor TicketMaster. That alone speaks volumes as to why The White Stripes and REM pre-sales were NOT a mess and U2's pre-sale was a heartattack in the making.

    AGAIN - U2 - Please take note.

YES, U2 are a great band and I love them best! BUT - they do need to re-think SOME of their business partners.
  2. Agreed, U2.com is driven by a bunch of fools. Sebastian Clayton don't know what he's doing.

How about moving the U2start + webmaster to the U2.com domain

cocky but i like it lol
  4. The truth is that there are people running this site, 'some' from @U2.com, the peeps running U2Log and a few others that could do not only U2.COM (the site) more justice but do the FANS more justice and give a better quality site and value for the money.

It could be a great change! And you wouldn't have to re-build (even if partially) U2START!
But I suggest something better: why don't we make everybody know that the REAL U2 Official Web-Site is not U2.com..... but U2START???
