    my parents where great beatle fans so i grow up with that just like
    later on with John lennon and paul mcCartney and wings
    in the 80's it was lionel richie /niel daimond/donald fagon/fleetwood mac
    yes / pinkfloyd / bob dylan .....phil collins peter gabriel and kate bush and genesis
    what sort of music did your parents liked ????

    U2 my mom is big U2 fan and I have carried the torch. R.E.M Tull lots of other Classic rock, and cant forget she got me into Classica as well. Thanks MOM
  4. I grew up without music. It's just no part of my parent's life. Rarely some German traditional music, if any. I discovered the beauty of pop and rock music at the age of fourteen.

    Yeah me too, my parents weren't really into music so I grew up without any notable artists or something. I started playing music and buying CD's around the age of 13/14, something like that.

I grow up with House in the early stages, soon followed by crappy pop like Aqua, Backstreet Boys and so on..At the age of 10 I always listened to trance, but that soon changed when my brother bougth ATYCLB. I discovered Rock and real music...And I won't let it go. A pity that my brother isn't a big U2-fan like I am. He likes them very much, but he likes all kinds of rock, even melodic metal.
  7. i've grown up with my father's music....genesis, pink floyd, queen and all that stuff.....and my mother's music, the italian singers like battiato, de gregori, ligabue, vasco rossi, and so on....

    then i've found out u2!!!

  10. Basically whatever I bought. I've always listened to rock, and I used to like pop (YUCK!) Now Pop is the only "Pop" album I like. I like a lot of old rock like The Who, The Beatles, Etc.
  11. like others, my parents didn't like any specific genre..so I grew up listing to the radio.
    basicley I grew up with all the pop hits..

    and when I was around 13-14 I discoverd Punk.

    Then i just listened to the charts so almost every style of music
    Then U2 came And now i'm here
