Well, the Point bootlegs have been historically mis-classified as Soundboard, while really they're Perfect Audience Recordings.

Except the 89-12-31 one, the rest are Amazing-but-Audience recordings. If you say that they ALL were recorded in SBD format, please tell us your sources.
It would be great if some of these amazing shows surface in SBD format...

Is 26 audience too? Sounds as an excellent SoundAudience to me!

    They ARE soundboards.

I thought only the 26th was a soundboard and the 31st was definatley a broadcast
  6. I got the 26th from here and I here no echo or reverb on any instrument or bono's voice....Its gotta be a broadcast at least......

I CAN'T assure if they are or not, but I thought that they were like Chicago 1987-04-29.
I also heard it from Remy, who assured they are NOT soundboards nor broadcasts.

I don't know what versions are hosted on U2start but at least the first 3 Point Depot shows exist as Soundboards. I'm not 100% sure if a Soundboard of the 4th show is circulating but most likely it exists besides the broadcast.

1987-4-29 has a slite echo on Bono's voice, while 1989-12-26 doesnt have any....if its an audience recording, it makes 87-4-29 look really bad.....

If it is the the version "X-mas At The Point Depot", it is soundboard:

AFAIR it is supposed to be "stolen" from someone from the soundcrew.

1987-04-29 Master Cassette is definitly an audience recording.

  11. I don´t know about the recordings here on u2start.com.

But i have the silver discs from that shows. You can really be SURE that the first 3 shows are available as Soundboard. There is no doubt.

By the way: The audience recordings of the Lovetown tour are in a specific way as bad as the original muffled sound of the PA during the concerts!
I attended all 3 Dortmund shows in 1989. I had a top position but the sound was awful. It wasn´t just the venue. You could hear that the PA was horrible.
I believe that other concerts from this tour had better sound. But even the best audience recordings have the somewhat muffled sound that came from the PA.
