1. Evening!

You know the songs that have come from album sessions but have not made the albums, songs like Mercy, well do they constitute as non-official material, as they are not on sale or available to the general public? Also how do you lot know of these songs, I would like to find the names of all the songs that have come from album sessions that have not made the albums. How do I find them out?
  2. I haven't a clue how I know of all the songs that haven't made it on to albums. Lots were released as b-sides on single releases so i've got a lot from there. All the unreleased songs from the Bomb sessions are widely available to. (im sure someone would e-mail you a link) : http://www.u2start.com/topic/1901///0/0/
  3. Send me an email: mofo.rockandroll@gmail.com and I'll help you out.

I can get you quite a few B-sides.

Mercy is a non-official song as Universal and U2 didn't release it to either Apple or a record store. I'll see about all the songs from each session and try to list them, there's a good 100+ available to the public of demos and unreleased stuff (Achtung Baby is by far the longest list of demos available to the public with seven CDs worth of the stuff).

It could even be more, not sure. The first three contain full songs (plus an hour of Salome outtakes) and the other discs are just drum loops and guitar riffs most of which made it through to Zooropa and even some POP. Very cool stuff.
  7. Here's the list so far that I can think of. I've also added a few more early stuff and POP/Zooropa demos.

That's pretty full-on for you but at least it's most of them, so keep them coming and I'll merge.
  8. Isn't this the material, what was stolen by bootlegers when U2 was recording Achtung Baby ?

    Yep.
  10. Originally posted by drewhigginsHere's the list so far that I can think of. If anyone has any more post them and I'll merge them into this list.

Oh there are lots of them.
I have a list somewhere with early unreleased songs and also there's a list from Brian Eno's diary from the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame museum a couple of years ago, I'll see if I can find them.

  11. I've come across another list full of demos and that stuff, so I'll post it all later up here so you can see what you're missing or whatever else you want to do. Remember if you want/need/are curious about anything my email is around here, don't know where but it is so feel free to email me.

Or the address is here: mofo.rockandroll@gmail.com I'm a bit tired, so off to bed I go. See you lot later.

I'll have some more demos coming up soon which are pretty cool too. Hopefully I'll be able to add some shows which we don't have from the early days.
