  4. Hehe, indeed, the Joshua Tree album did it for me.

    I'm a real fan just since April this year. First I found spiral's blog and downloaded 2-3 bootlegs and was amazed by U2's live energy and all that, and then I, just for fun actually, decided to listen to the whole album instead of only the known popular songs. And then songs like "One Tree Hill" and "Bullet The Blue Sky", "Running To Stand Still" and "Mothers Of The Disappeared" sort of completely left me devastated by so much brilliancy. I think that was the experience that let it make "click" within me and got U2 into a position of "wow, this music and these guys are what makes it for me!" instead of just being a very cool group among many others.
