Slaven Bilic is ex football player and was well known in England where he played for West Ham United and Everton. He also played for Croatian football national team when we won 3rd place at World Cup in France' 98.
Today he's coach of Croatian Footbal Team and last year he was announced for best young football coach in the world.
At the moment Croatian national football team is ranked 6th in world. (before Slaven Bilic Era we were 21st)
He also started his own rock band - Rawbau.
In that column I linked at the end you can see "The Ground Beneath Her Feet" lyrics. In column he's speaking about "turbo-folk" primitive music characteristic for Balkan territory. So he compares lyrics about love in tubo folk with Bono's lyrics.
He's great U2 fan, in few interviews he mentioned SYCMIOYO as his favourite song to play on his guitar.
We always joke between us that he's such great coach because he's rocker and guitarist - and he likes U2 : ))
