1. i wont be home for a few days so could any one rip this so i could have it in audio or so i can have it in video on my ipod
  2. Nice one.
  3. intersting
  4. Sadly enough...I have to agree with all they say...I understand the lyrics tho, but that's me (I mean...gimme the microphone and I'll sing it for you ).
  5. interesting...
but I have to disagree with them!! I understand the lirycs may be a litle confusinf, but nevertheless, if you pay attention you can get it... I could agree, about the lighting and the fact that the audience has no role play in the movie... or that there is no interaction between the band and it's audience outside the stage....
I don't know.... It could've been done better, but I really love it the way it is!!!!
  6. If by confusing you mean the meaning of them, he's not talking about the meaning of the lyrics...he's saying that the audio isn't good, that you don't understand what words Bono's singing, yet if you are a fan, you already know the lyrics, so you understand!
I like the movie as well...but we're fans. I love to show some of the performances on the movie to my friends (non-U2 fans) and blow them away (it really does the job, the concert scenes are so cool, classy and powerful!).
But I wouldn't want my friends to sit and watch the whole movie, cause it makes them wonder :"who the hell do they think they are?!"...know what I mean? The interview scenes, the whole Elvis thing, BB King and some other stuff...

I know he's talking about the audio... and when I say confusing, is in the sense that they are not sure of the words Bono is singing or whatever...
I have shown R&H to my father, not entirely ofcourse, but little snippets and great emotional parts or this or that song... he is not a U2 fan, the first time he heard about them is a few years ago when I had him listening Kite from ATYCLB....
and let me tell ya, for a 66 year old, he got the lirycs, not entirely but most of them and we had a few words about the meaning of some lirycs..
but hey, as you say, we ARE fans, haha!! so we know what is been said and how, so our point of view is sort of not a very objective one!!! haha!
    but wth!!
    cheers!

    Nice dad
I've had almost the same exact thing with my father, he's 67 or so...the first song he heard of them I think was Yahweh when I was listening to it...I've shown him a lot...he specially liked the lyrics of Please

    haha!! yeah!!!
look, I've had a couple of times to discuss and have some words or to hear just in silence, U2 with my Dad. Some special songs, not all of them... I've made him listen to Kite as I said, Please, Walk on, Sometimes, among others....
and those where really special moments, when you could tell by the look in our eyes, that there was something REALLY BIG been said through the lirycs of some beautiful songs...
U2 has managed to gain space between us and has been able to say those things that some of us find so hard to say sometimes!! and also, my Dad's family is Irish and he was raised the Irish way, so for him to listen songs like Sunday Bloody Sunday, Please, Van Diemens Land, etc... means a lot and reminds him of the times he would chat with his father about Ireland or with his own brothers and sisters, etc... a bunch of feelings come floating out....

cheers!!! and lets not get that much off topic!! hehe!!
  10. ahaha well Rattle and Hum was probably not best suited to cinema release.....some great concert footage though
  11. The video I submitted a while back. Quite interesting, though if I wasn't a fan I wouldn't understand the words.

I think that's not true. I'm not fan of, for example, Iron Maiden and I DO understand their lyrics. Maybe i do NOT enjoy them or whatever, but lyrics and poems can be understood by everyone (IMO!).
