    And a general thanks also to U2start; the songs section helped me track down the one live version that was out there on youtube as a reference.

    Vasult- thanks especially for your remark- it means a lot. I did put a lot of time and even research into it; maybe it is more "descriptive" than an official U2 video- I think they often keep their videos and lyrics multi-dimensional and non-specific because the personal interpretation factor has always been an important part of their approach.

    This video, not so much room for personal interpretation ;-) but it is a more direct and aggressive song than most of their work.

    Plus i'm kind of a history buff, so it was interesting to think about the events that have transpired since the War era and place the song in it's original context.

    I would really love to see them bring this one back on tour - to me it's one of many gems that they've never really given it's deserved level of attention. To think they only played it live once - ONCE! - agh, that's almost criminal! ;-)

    The fact that they played songs like the Ocean and An Cat Dubh on the Vertigo tour really gives some hope that they may bring back songs like this one in the future.
