1. By the end of the first leg of "Vertigo", I was so amazed at how well the audience reacted to when "The Wake Up" started before the show.

Out of the 8 Vertigo shows I saw, I have to admit that final Honolulu show seemed to have the best reaction from the fans (at least on the floor) to when it started. People just went nuts.
Sadly, the recording of the Honolulu show doesn't really show off the way it really sounded down there when that song started.

my question is, what is the best "audience reaction" on a recording out there that's good quality.....also, note, I'm asking about one's that have "the wake up" from the very start....cause that first reaction is what I'm talking about.

Out of all the shows I've heard, I'd have to say the 11/30/06 show in Japan is the best I've heard.

Both VERY good quality recording...and...a pretty great reaction.

just thought it'd be fun... take care!

Gotta love Denver 1987-11-07. That people goes crazy when lights go down and the screen goes red (STREEEETS!)
Slane Castle 2001-09-01 is very good. The crowd goes crazy every now and again, throughout the whole show. Amazing.

he's asking about Wake Up though. I can't add any opinions as I never held on to the Wake Up files. (on a side not listen to the audience from 2006-11-29 - Saitama react to the frist keyboard note of COBL. Wow)

Aaaah alright. I though he refered to any concert, the "Wake Up" of any concert. Then I have to stick to your words, never listened to Wake Up actually. Always skipped on my bootlegs...
  7. Wow. Great to hear from the legend . You did an awesome job with Wild Horses. Anyway, I agree with you, 11/30/06 is probably one of the best. I also like 5/09/2005 and 5/10/2005 in Chicago. Most of the 1st leg ones are good.
  8. Try the Chicago ones mentioned above and Glendale 2005-04-15.

It must have been bloody amazing to play up there.
  9. Hi there, Michael. Great to hear from you. I can't help you, just wanted to say welcome!

Indeed, Glendale crowd goes nuts when lights go down. That must be one of the few Wake Up's Ive listened to.

And regarding Michael, he presented himself a few ago, dont you all remember?
  11. I'm surprised so many missed out that part of the show when saving the show to cd or their playlist. To me it's an integral part of the show. The European leg didn't have the 'everyone' part which makes it even more effective. Straight into Vertigo - brilliant. Cardiff (yet again) is one of the better European examples.

On a similar note I recall the crowd going absolutely crazy on the zoo tv tour when the 'Zoo TV' logo was switched on. Great memories!
