1. Hello. I was wondering if U2 has ever played 'Promenade' and 'Red Hill Mining town' in a live set. Anybody knows?
  2. No they didn't, never, no snippets or full performances unfortunately.
  3. What a shame. They'd be great addittions.
  4. Speaking of which, Is there a list that I could get of all the songs that U2 have never played live (sorted by album preferably), somewhere on the internet?

I haven't seen one, but I thought there was a shortlist somewhere on u2faqs.com.
  6. Here we go, this is directly pasted from the site you mentioned, Thanks:

    Boy: all have been played
October: Stranger In a Strange Land, Is That All?
War: Drowning Man, The Refugee, Red Light
The Unforgettable Fire: Promenade, 4th of July, Elvis Presley & America
Wide Awake in America: The Three Sunrises, Love Comes Tumbling
The Joshua Tree: Red Hill Mining Town
    Rattle and Hum: Heartland
Achtung Baby: Acrobat (was performed only in soundchecks and rehearsals for Zoo TV, but never in an actual concert)
Zooropa: Some Days Are Better Than Others
Pop: The Playboy Mansion (snippets were sung after "Streets" at some PopMart shows, but never the full song)
Best of 1980-1990: all have been played
All That You Can't Leave Behind: Peace On Earth (never the full song), When I Look at the World (never the full song), Grace
    Best of 1990-2000: Electrical Storm
How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb: A Man and a Woman, One Step Closer

    With some side-notes from me:
    * Is That All - The intro riff is played as "The Cry" at the beginning of many Electric Co. performances.
    * Drowning Man was snippeted often (during 11 O'Clock Tick Tock)
    * 4th of July was played over the PA as an intro to many Unforgettable Fire concerts.
    * Heartland was snippeted.
    * Electrical Storm is the only U2 single that has never been played live, all other singles are played live including the latest, WITS.
  8. I'll never understand non-playing of Acrobat.

It just didn't work live, as many other U2 songs.
  10. How can they know if it works? It's never been played!!
I think Acrobat would be a great way to break an encore or even to begin a concert!

Well, they surely tried, I have the rehearsal version somewhere and it's not sounding quite like a new live anthem.
