1. Yes... And kudos to Bono for jumping on that train and going off script! We don't get to see that very often.
  2. No hesitation either from B man.

And points to Edge for switching chords to RTSS. It would actually sound great like that because they just haven’t got it right on piano (2005/JT20).
  3. I guess he felt safe because Desire is in E, if they had started in Bb I think he would have been less confident..

Hahaha, indeed. No way he could have pulled that out in 2001!
  5. Thanks for upping this vid, Sergio, it brings up nice memories in this strange times... Can actually see myself (or a shadow of myself in a very low resolution lol) in the heart BTW .

Although time flies and memories fade away, I'd rate those 2 Elevation Koeln nights as still probably my favourite u2 gigs ever... On this first night I also got my first guitar pick from Mr. Edge himself, and that is probably my fav memorabilia from the band to this day... Great athmosphere on both nights, with a large number of Dutch people in attendance as I can recall... And the prices for the tickets on the black market were really insane...

The entrance procedure in KoelnArena was a bit chaotic, but luckiliy me and my friend ended up in the 2nd row in front of Edge on this 1st night (got 1st row in front of Bman on the 2nd night, thanks to some, hm, how should I put it, let's say contacts with a high profile PrincipleMan. employee) . when the concert started and the guys appeared in front of me... well, it felt almost like a club gig, compared to the previous Popmart extravaganza...

To sum up - Glory days, as the Boss would say... And gosh the time flies, we were just a bunch of students then
