It seems I'm one of the few who actually likes the Salomé "Axtung Beibi Outtakes".
I do own the 3 CD set for more than fifteen years now, and I suddenly realised it really is a jewel. Sadly, it's hard to listen to the tracks because for each and every track one of the channels is phase reversed. (If you listen through headphones you'll hear what that means: it drives you crazy.)
Anyway, I finally decided to fix it and to master the songs properly.
I took care of a selection only, e.g. I didn't fix all 231 versions of Salomé and Morning Child, but I picked one or two nice versions and worked those over.
I ended up with about 25 blistering songs, most of them really songs and not only fragments or repeated riffs.
Twenty of those songs are here to download (mp3, I consider sharing the lossless files at the Traders Den later on).
For who might wonder: the only logic involved in this compilation is my personal preference. The first disc contains songs I like (in chronological order), the second contains in random order some different versions and songs I don't really care about, but at least they don't contain skips to my knowledge.
Hope you'll enjoy.
By the way: Lady w/Spinning Head alone makes this worth the download.

WOW, awesome!!!!! I've never listened to the originals, but from your post, this looks like it will be amazing! THANK YOU! I'm pretty sure that you will be one of the most famous members of the U2 fan community from now on. lol
Thanks for the kind words.
I would really appreciate any kind of comment, like tracks you would have thrown out of the selection, or tracks you would like to be included, or possible skips/clicks you might find. My aim is to compile the ULTIMATE collection, lossless, to be shared here and/or at TTD.
Thanks for the effort and the sharing-spirit, some of the tracks are good... But I simply can't stand this early version of Acrobat. It makes my ears bleed

Funny, I dig it. Well, at least it's no longer the horrible phase issue that will make your ears bleed, let's hope you like it a little better when it sounds like it should sound
